Can someone help me settle an argument please?

My husband has just told me that baccarat has a 1 in 2 chance of a ‘win’, either you win or banker wins and therefore is a decent choice (for him) in a casino I think it’s a terrible trap and a good way to lose your money very quickly.

Any baccarat players care to defend the game while I sit here in my VP corner? Maybe there is something I am missing.
