Best hotel?!

Hello,

I have been checking into the hotels in Kona, and I don't see anything pending inviting ones. Anyone stayed somewhere decent? I would appreciate your help.

Kailua-Kona offers a variety of hotels and resorts, ranging from luxury properties to smaller boutique stays. Your choice will depend on whether you prioritize oceanfront views, amenities, or proximity to town and dining.

For a high-end experience with great service, ocean views, and direct access to the beach, consider staying at a resort. These generally offer pools, on-site restaurants, and concierge services, which can make your stay very convenient and relaxing. If you prefer something smaller or more budget-friendly, there are also well-reviewed condos and boutique hotels that offer kitchens and a more local feel.

  • Four Seasons Resort Hualalai: Luxury resort with beautiful oceanfront rooms, golf course, multiple pools, fine dining, and top-notch service. Great for splurging and enjoying resort amenities.
  • Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection: Another luxury option on the Kohala Coast, offering stunning grounds, ocean access, pools, and spa services. Slightly north of Kona town but still accessible.
  • Kona Village Resort: Small boutique resort with an intimate feel, oceanfront bungalows, and excellent service. More rustic and secluded, good if you want privacy and tranquility.
  • Royal Kona Resort: Located right in Kona town, convenient for dining, shopping, and beaches. Offers oceanfront rooms, pools, and good value for its location.
  • Holua Resort at Mauna Loa Village: Offers condo-style accommodations with kitchens, good for longer stays or travelers looking to cook their own meals. Not directly on the beach, but short drive to Kona.

For budget-conscious travelers, there are also smaller inns and vacation rentals in Kailua-Kona that are clean, well-located, and often provide kitchen access. These options allow you to enjoy Kona without spending on resort amenities if they aren’t a priority.

Ultimately, if you want convenience and proximity to town, the Royal Kona Resort or similar town-based hotels are ideal. For a more luxurious or resort-style experience, Four Seasons Hualalai or Mauna Lani are exceptional choices. Boutique resorts and vacation rentals are great for a quieter, more private stay with the flexibility of cooking your own meals.
