Big thanks to NOLA forum community

First Mardi Gras was a smash. I loved the parades, found a new favorite bakery (Ayu Bakehouse), experienced the celebration that is Big Freedia at Tipitina’s, the drunken vibe of Ms. Mae’s, got crawfish at Bayou Beer Garden, my favorite sandwich ever at Turkey and the Wolf (collard melt), and experienced the energy, creativity and joy of the Saint Anne’s parade in the Bywater/Marigny. Most of all felt the warmth and kindness of the good and amazing people who call the city home. Thank you and see you again soon!
