Streaming Services

We will be staying overnight in Cooke City in August. Are there any bars/restaurants that have a streaming or cable service to possibly be able to watch a FSU football game?

Cooke City is a small town near Yellowstone National Park, and while it's a great place for outdoor activities, the town doesn't have the same level of amenities as larger cities. That being said, there are a few bars and restaurants in the area where you might be able to catch a FSU football game, depending on the availability of streaming or cable services:

  • Option 1: The Cooke City Bar – This is a local favorite with a casual atmosphere. While it may not have the widest selection of streaming services, they do typically have cable TV, so it's worth checking in to see if they have access to sports channels that show college football games.
  • Option 2: The Silver Gate Inn – Located just outside of Cooke City in nearby Silver Gate, this inn has a small bar and lounge area. They may have access to sports channels or streaming services, so it's a good idea to inquire about availability when you arrive.
  • Option 3: The Beartooth Café – This café is known for its food, but they may have a TV or two where you could catch the game. Again, calling ahead to confirm if they have cable or streaming access would be a good move.

Since Cooke City is a relatively remote location, it's a good idea to double-check with the venues in advance to ensure they will be showing the FSU game. You may also want to look into options like sports bars in nearby towns like Red Lodge or Gardiner, which are a bit further away but might offer more reliable access to live sports broadcasts or streaming services.

If the bar or restaurant options don’t have the game, you could also consider using a streaming service like ESPN+, if you have access to the internet and a mobile device or laptop, to watch the game in your hotel room. However, be aware that internet connections in more remote areas can sometimes be spotty, so you may want to test the signal ahead of time.
