Looks like the Cosmo double booking loophole is closed

Sadly, it looks like the Cosmo double booking loophole is closed. Last trip I was able to double book comps at Cosmo and Park MGM. I attempted to double book a comped room at Cosmo for my upcoming trip and get a message that "the offer you are applying overlaps with an offer in your cart or an existing reservation". Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

It sounds like you're noticing the changes in how Cosmo handles comp room bookings now. It's true that these kinds of loopholes often get closed over time as hotels refine their booking processes. The ability to double-book offers was likely a technical oversight, so it makes sense that they've taken steps to prevent this from happening moving forward.

While it's a bummer that this loophole is closed, there are still plenty of ways to make the most of comp offers and get good deals on your stay at Cosmo and other resorts in Vegas. Here are some suggestions:

  • Keep an eye on new offers: Hotel offers and promotions change frequently. It’s possible that there might be new, better offers available at Cosmo or other MGM properties. Check your accounts often to spot any new opportunities for comped rooms, especially after your stay or during special promotional periods.
  • Book strategically: If you're looking to stay multiple nights, it may still be possible to stack offers for different dates (as long as they don’t overlap). Some members have success booking offers that are valid at different times of the year.
  • Contact customer support: If you think there's still a way to work something out, reaching out to the hotel’s customer service or a VIP host might help clarify options for stacking or finding other deals. Sometimes they can manually adjust offers or provide exclusive deals.
  • Maximize loyalty rewards: If you’re a frequent visitor, consider focusing on loyalty programs for extra perks, like free upgrades, early check-ins, or complimentary drinks. Both Cosmo and Park MGM are part of the MGM Rewards program, which can also provide other ways to rack up comps.

It might not be as easy as double booking, but with some strategy, you can still get a great experience in Las Vegas while maximizing your comps!
