First time Disney itinerary plan.

First time visiting Florida in July with 2 teenagers.

We have a 2 week stay at Disney Saratoga spring with park tickets and full dining.

Looking advice on our itinerary and dining bookings.

We also would like a few Disney free days to see other attractions and go shopping near by using Ubers.

Thanks in advance.

Visiting Disney World for the first time with teenagers in July can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially with a two-week stay and full dining plan. Here's a detailed approach to help plan your itinerary and dining bookings.

Park Itinerary Suggestions:

  • With a two-week stay, consider splitting your days between the four main parks and leaving buffer days for rest or exploration outside the parks.
  • A suggested order for park visits with teenagers:
    • Magic Kingdom: Classic attractions like Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Arrive at park opening to maximize rides with shorter waits.
    • Epcot: Perfect for older kids and teens with Future World rides like Test Track and Mission: Space, plus World Showcase for food and cultural experiences.
    • Hollywood Studios: Must for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, and thrill rides like Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
    • Animal Kingdom: Avatar Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest, and Kilimanjaro Safaris. Best to go early or late in the day due to heat.
  • Plan rest days or lighter days in between parks, especially with Florida’s July heat and humidity. These could include resort pool time, Disney Springs shopping, or exploring nearby attractions via Uber.

Dining Plan Tips:

  • Book table service meals in advance, especially for popular restaurants like Be Our Guest (Magic Kingdom) or Sci-Fi Dine-In (Hollywood Studios).
  • For quick service meals, the full dining plan can be used to sample snacks and smaller meals throughout the day, which is convenient for teens.
  • Consider character dining experiences for a memorable first Disney visit—these are great for photos and interaction with characters without long lines.

Extra Disney-Free Days:

  • Use Uber or Lyft to visit Disney Springs for shopping, entertainment, and casual dining.
  • Consider a day trip to International Drive or ICON Park for additional attractions like Madame Tussauds, Sea Life Aquarium, or mini golf.
  • Reserve one or two days for resort relaxation, swimming, or exploring nearby areas, especially after busy park days.

Additional Tips:

  • Download the My Disney Experience app for mobile ride reservations, wait times, and dining bookings.
  • Consider using Lightning Lane/Genie+ options for the most popular rides to minimize waiting time.
  • Stay hydrated and take advantage of indoor shows and shaded areas during peak afternoon heat.

With two weeks, you have plenty of flexibility to enjoy the parks at a relaxed pace while leaving room for shopping, dining, and poolside relaxation. Pre-booking dining and ride reservations will help make the most of your Disney experience.
