Mosquito's

Hi,

How bad are the mosquito's ATM on Honeymoon, we are staying on the causeway next week, not seen anything mentioned on TA this year but last year reviews were petty scary....

Any breakfast recommendation spots for our first morning after a late night transatlantic flight?

Hi! Visiting Dunedin for your honeymoon sounds wonderful. Regarding mosquitoes on the causeway this time of year, late November is generally less intense than summer months, but being near water, some mosquitoes are still possible, especially around dawn and dusk. Using insect repellent and wearing light, long sleeves in the evenings should keep you comfortable.

For breakfast after a long transatlantic flight, there are several highly recommended spots in Dunedin that offer great food and a welcoming atmosphere:

  • Rosati’s of Dunedin: A cozy spot with classic breakfast dishes and strong coffee. Known for good portion sizes and friendly service.
  • Little Greek Fresh Grill: If you want something light and flavorful, they serve Mediterranean-inspired breakfast items and fresh pastries.
  • Perkins Restaurant & Bakery: Reliable chain with a broad menu and a convenient option if you want something familiar and quick.
  • Woodwright’s Cafe: Local favorite for hearty breakfast, eggs benedict, pancakes, and fresh juices, perfect after a late-night flight.

Overall, you shouldn’t expect a major mosquito problem during your stay, and there are plenty of breakfast spots to recover from your travel and start your honeymoon off right!
