Napili Shores, Napili Point, Napili Kai

Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of each of these properties? I am especially looking at Napili Shores. I need easy access ( flat surface, not too rocky) to Napili Bay. I have not seen Napili Kai in August for under $600 per night. If you prefer one of these, let me know why, and which units/rental agencies. Thank you in advance for any help. In Napili, I have only stayed at The Napili Bay, and have stayed there several times, but I need AC to sleep now.

When considering Napili Shores, Napili Point, and Napili Kai, each property has its unique features, and the choice often depends on your priorities such as beach access, unit amenities, and budget.

Napili Shores: This is a smaller, oceanfront property right on Napili Bay. It has very easy, mostly flat access to the beach, making it ideal if you want minimal walking or uneven surfaces. Units here are generally updated and many have AC, which is important for comfort while sleeping.

  • Pros: Direct beach access with minimal rocks or steps, smaller and quieter property, updated condos with AC, excellent snorkeling right off the beach, peaceful environment.
  • Cons: Limited units available, can book quickly during peak season, fewer amenities compared to larger resorts (no large pool or on-site restaurant).

Napili Point: Located slightly uphill from the bay, this property offers stunning ocean views from many units. The walk to the beach involves some steps and a short incline, so it’s not as flat as Napili Shores.

  • Pros: Beautiful sunset and ocean views, peaceful and quiet, units often spacious and well-maintained, some offer AC.
  • Cons: Beach access requires walking downhill, which may be inconvenient for some guests, fewer units directly on the sand, pool is smaller and there is limited immediate beach frontage.

Napili Kai: This is a larger resort property with more amenities including a pool and on-site activities. It’s set right on Napili Bay, but some areas can have uneven lava rock or sand paths, making access to the water less flat than Napili Shores.

  • Pros: Larger resort with pool and amenities, good oceanfront units, multiple rental agencies with availability, solid reputation for service.
  • Cons: Larger property can feel less private, beach access has some uneven rocky areas, units can be pricey especially in August (often $600+ per night), not all units have AC.

Overall, if your priority is very easy and flat beach access with AC, Napili Shores is likely the best fit. Napili Point is great for views but less convenient for direct beach access, and Napili Kai offers more resort-style amenities but may not provide the flat, easy access you prefer. For rentals, many travelers recommend booking through established agencies like VRBO or local property managers with verified reviews to ensure unit amenities match your needs.
