Parking at Marina near Hilton Hawaiian Village

We will only be at HHV for 2 nights so it may be worth paying the extra to park at HHV. However, reviews seem to say that parking at Hilton AND the Marina are both pretty inconvenient. Please share any suggestions you have. Thanks!

Parking around Hilton Hawaiian Village (HHV) and the nearby marina can indeed be a bit tricky, especially if you’re only staying for a short time. Both areas have options, but convenience and cost vary.

If you’re staying at HHV for two nights, paying for on-site parking is often the easiest option despite the cost. It allows you to leave and return to your room without worrying about finding a spot elsewhere. Keep in mind, however, that the parking lots at HHV are large, and you may end up walking a fair distance from your car to your room or the lobby.

The marina parking can be an alternative if you plan to use a boat or go directly to the marina, but reviews suggest that maneuvering in the marina lots can be tight, and availability may be limited. It’s less convenient for general hotel access.

  • HHV self-parking: Easiest access to your room, but can be pricey. Lots are large, may require a moderate walk.
  • HHV valet: More expensive than self-parking, but minimal walking and hassle-free.
  • Marina parking: Close to boats and marina activities, cheaper than valet, but limited spaces and less convenient for hotel access.

Additional tips:

  • Consider your main activities. If most of your time is at the hotel or beach, HHV parking is worth it.
  • If you’ll be driving around Oahu, having a car parked at HHV might make daily excursions easier without moving your vehicle.
  • Arrive early if you plan to park at the marina, especially on weekends or busy days, as spaces fill quickly.

Overall, for a two-night stay with convenience in mind, paying for HHV parking is generally the recommended approach, while marina parking is better for short-term visits or specific marina activities.
