Hi!
We want to do a day trip to the North Shore and spend some time at Hideaway Beach. If we don't get one of the 7-10 parking spots, does anyone know if you can still park at the 1 Hotel or any other resorts nearby? I read that you could, but they were older posts so not sure if anyone has any updated info. Thanks in advance!
Hideaway Beach on Kauai’s North Shore is a stunning but small and somewhat secluded beach, which makes parking very limited. The main public parking near the beach offers only about 7–10 spots, and they tend to fill up quickly, especially on weekends and during peak tourist seasons.
If you arrive and the main parking area is full, options are limited. In general, the nearby 1 Hotel and other private resorts do not officially allow day visitors to use their parking lots, as these spaces are reserved for guests only. Older posts sometimes mentioned people parking at resort lots, but this is typically discouraged and could result in fines or being asked to move your car.
Alternative strategies to secure parking or access include:
It’s important to respect private property and resort rules when planning your visit, as unauthorized parking can create issues with resort staff and local authorities.
Overall, the key is planning ahead, arriving early, and being prepared for limited options, since Hideaway Beach’s small size contributes to its exclusivity and limited parking.
