Island City House?

Anyone have an opinion on this location? Have stayed all over the island over the past 25 yrs at all price points..just want a quick 3 night getaway and can stay there for under $700. Seems too good to be true...thoughts?

Island City House in Key West is often considered a budget-friendly option for travelers looking to stay close to the action without breaking the bank. While the rate under $700 for three nights is appealing, it’s important to understand what you’re getting for that price.

Here’s an overview:

  • Location: Island City House is centrally located, making it easy to walk to many attractions, restaurants, and bars. This is a major plus if you want to explore Key West without needing a car.
  • Accommodations: Expect modest, clean rooms with basic amenities. Some units may feel a bit dated, but for a short stay, many guests find them adequate. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are typically included, which is essential in the Keys.
  • Vibe: It has a casual, no-frills atmosphere. Perfect for travelers who prioritize location and price over luxury. It’s not a resort experience, so don’t expect pools, spa services, or extensive amenities.

Things to consider:

  • Reviews often highlight friendly staff and a convenient location, but some mention noise from nearby streets or bars—so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
  • If your priority is comfort, quiet, or luxury, you may want to spend a bit more elsewhere. But for a quick, affordable getaway, Island City House can be a solid choice.
  • For under $700 for three nights, it’s realistically one of the better budget options in Key West, especially if you’re traveling during a busy season.

Overall, Island City House is suitable for experienced Key West visitors who want a central, convenient base and are fine with basic accommodations. If you plan to spend most of your time out enjoying the island, it’s likely a good value.
