I tell people:”Come to Fallbrook and taste the cuisine”, but there is so much more to do: You can visit art galleries and the art school, check out the many bronzes thru out town. Take a Kentucky Fried chicken lunch to Live Oak Park and walk along the stream bed, enjoy a bike ride down Gird Road, or cruise under the oaks on east Live Oak Road. One can drive down to De Luz and dip your toes into Sandia Creek crossing, and if you feel brave - climb to the top of the big rock. Continue on thru De Luz to cross the Tenaja Pass and make a day drive out of it. Be sure to pack some of the local fruit for the day journey. Explore the town’s history at the Historical Society open on Thursday and Sunday 1-4. Sit in the old church and meditate Sunday morning and think of all the generations that sat in those pews. Take a driving tour of the towns historic old homes. Stroll thru town and shop at the unique bazaars or shop all the thrift stores, antique shops and barns for treasures. There are approximately 325 geo caches in the area if that is your thing. There is a planned hike every Sunday morning at 7:30 to hike up Monserate Mountain or walk around the paths at Los Jilgueros Land Conserve on Mission Road. Not to mention 7 choice golf courses in the immediate vicinity: Pala Casino, Temecula Creek, Pala Mesa, Fallbrook Golf Club, Golf Club of California, San Luis Rey and Lawrence Welk.
