Hampton Inn and Suites or Hampton Historic District
I am looking at both properties and would like feedback if there is a recommendation for one over the other. Reviews seem good for both. Thank you for your help!
Both the Hampton Inn & Suites and the Hampton Inn Historic District in Savannah are great options, and each has its own unique benefits depending on what you're looking for. Here's a comparison to help you decide which might be the better choice for your stay:
- Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District:
- Located directly in the heart of the Historic District, this property is ideal if you want to be in the thick of things. It's within walking distance to many popular Savannah landmarks, restaurants, shops, and the beautiful Forsyth Park.
- This hotel offers a slightly more modern feel compared to the other Hampton location, with larger suites and a more contemporary decor. It's a good choice if you're looking for a more spacious room for families or longer stays.
- The amenities are solid, with a fitness center, complimentary breakfast, and an outdoor pool. Guests often praise its convenient location and comfortable stay.
- Keep in mind that since it’s centrally located, it can get a bit busier, especially during peak tourist seasons.
- Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District:
- Also located in the Historic District, this property is a bit smaller and more intimate compared to the other Hampton Inn & Suites. It's perfect if you want something more laid-back and quieter, with easy access to attractions but without the hustle of a larger hotel.
- This property is known for being incredibly well-maintained and is just a short walk from attractions like River Street, City Market, and the Savannah Riverfront. If you're someone who wants to explore the Historic District on foot, this location makes it incredibly convenient.
- Though it's a bit more compact, the hotel still offers great amenities, including complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, and a seasonal outdoor pool. It's also known for its welcoming and friendly staff.
- One downside might be that it doesn't offer as many suite-style rooms as the larger property, so if you're traveling with a family or a group, it might feel a bit more cramped.
Recommendation: If you're visiting for a short stay and want to be right in the middle of Savannah's Historic District, both options are excellent. However, if you're traveling with a group or prefer larger rooms, the Hampton Inn & Suites may be the better choice. If you prefer a quieter, more intimate experience with easy access to everything Savannah has to offer, the Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District could be a great option. Either way, you’ll be close to the charm of Savannah, and both hotels have great reviews.
Enjoy your stay in Savannah!
