Hotel choice

Hi,

Stopping in Jekyll Island to break up our road trip. Any recommendations between these 3 hotels: Hampton Inn, Best Western, or Days Inn.

They are all roughly the same cost per night. I dont need fancy, just clean and comfortable for one night. They all seem pretty similar review wise too.

Thanks!

All three of the hotels you mentioned — Hampton Inn, Best Western, and Days Inn — are well-known chains, and they all offer reasonably priced options for a short stay. Since you’re looking for clean, comfortable accommodations for one night, I'll provide a brief comparison of each to help you make your decision. Each hotel has its own strengths, but they generally offer similar amenities, so it might come down to personal preference or the specific features you value most.

1. Hampton Inn (Jekyll Island): Hampton Inn is generally known for providing a bit more of a modern, polished experience compared to other budget hotels. It’s often praised for its clean rooms, comfortable beds, and complimentary amenities like free breakfast, coffee, and Wi-Fi. While it may be a bit pricier than the other two options, the consistency of the Hampton brand is something many travelers appreciate. If you’re looking for an easy, hassle-free stay with friendly service and amenities like an outdoor pool and fitness center, Hampton Inn is a reliable choice.

  • Pros: Clean, modern rooms; free breakfast and Wi-Fi; good customer service.
  • Cons: Can be slightly more expensive than the other two options.

2. Best Western (Jekyll Island): Best Western properties can vary a bit depending on the location, but overall, Best Western tends to offer good value for the price. Their hotels usually provide basic but comfortable accommodations with some added perks like free breakfast and Wi-Fi. The Jekyll Island location is often praised for its convenient location and the rooms are typically clean and well-maintained. Some guests mention that the hotel has a slightly older feel compared to more modern chains, but it generally gets good reviews for its overall comfort and service.

  • Pros: Reliable, budget-friendly choice; free breakfast and Wi-Fi; generally clean and comfortable rooms.
  • Cons: Some locations can feel a little dated, though the Jekyll Island location is well-maintained.

3. Days Inn (Jekyll Island): Days Inn is another budget-friendly chain that offers basic accommodations. The rooms are clean and straightforward, though the decor and facilities might feel a bit more dated compared to the other two options. Days Inn tends to have fewer amenities, but it is usually a solid choice for travelers who are looking for no-frills accommodations at a low price. The Jekyll Island location is in a good area, and the hotel often gets praise for being quiet and relaxing for a quick stopover.

  • Pros: Affordable rates; clean and simple rooms; good for a short, no-frills stay.
  • Cons: Fewer amenities and older decor compared to the other two hotels.

Conclusion: Since you’re looking for a clean and comfortable place for one night, all three hotels could be a good choice. If you prefer a more modern, consistent experience with a few extra perks (like free breakfast and a pool), the Hampton Inn might be your best bet. If you're looking for something a bit more budget-friendly but still reliable, Best Western is a solid option. If cost is your top priority and you don’t mind a more basic, no-frills stay, then Days Inn might be the way to go. All three have good reviews, so you can’t go wrong with any of them — it really comes down to the little details that matter most to you!
