Hey everyone,
We are experienced travellers to America, and plan on flying from London to Vegas, a few nights there, then flying to Hawaii. Mrs LC is up for the Hilton on the beach as its v busy and central, a bit like the Flamingo in Vegas.
From peoples experience, what is the best type of room or the best tower? We are looking at a 10 day stay, and like to spend alot of time in the room to maximise the spend. We feel a suite is something we would like and would like some recommedations. We will have lots of other questions im sure and will listen to any experiences good or bad.
It sounds like you’re looking forward to your first trip to Waikiki, and staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village is a fantastic choice! It's indeed a busy, central location, similar to the Flamingo in Vegas, and has a lot to offer with its beach access, pools, and variety of dining and entertainment options. For a 10-day stay where you plan to spend a lot of time in the room, choosing the right room type and tower is key to maximizing your experience. Here are some recommendations based on people’s experiences:
1. Best Tower for Views and Space: - Kalia Tower – The Kalia Tower is popular for its spacious rooms and stunning views of the ocean, city, or mountains. It’s ideal for a more relaxing experience, offering both oceanfront and partial ocean view rooms. The higher floors provide more panoramic views, and the suites are spacious, making it a great choice for those who want a mix of luxury and space. - Ala Moana Tower – This is another good choice for ocean views. Rooms in this tower offer great views of the lagoon and the beach. It’s also closer to some of the hotel’s amenities, like the spa and the main pool. This tower is also known for being quieter, which can be an advantage if you want a peaceful retreat. - Diamond Head Tower – While it doesn’t have as direct ocean views, it offers lovely views of Diamond Head, the city, and the surrounding area. If you're okay with not having an ocean view, it’s a quieter, less crowded option.
2. Suites Recommendation: - For a more luxurious stay, consider booking a one-bedroom suite. Suites in the Kalia Tower and Ala Moana Tower are spacious, often with a separate living area, offering plenty of space for relaxation. Some suites even have a full kitchen, which is perfect if you plan on staying in and enjoying some meals in the room. - The Presidential Suite in the Kalia Tower is the most luxurious option, with a large living area, full kitchen, and spectacular views. It’s perfect for guests looking to indulge and enjoy the full luxury experience during their stay. - Another option is the Oceanfront One-Bedroom Suite, which offers direct ocean views and a large balcony. These suites offer a great balance of space, comfort, and a direct connection to the beach.
3. For Comfort and Convenience: - If you enjoy access to more private spaces, you could consider booking a Hilton Honors Club Room. This gives you access to the exclusive club lounge, which provides complimentary breakfast, snacks, and drinks. It’s also a great option if you want some added perks like priority check-in and access to concierge services.
In terms of overall experience, the Kalia Tower tends to be the most highly recommended for guests who want spacious, comfortable rooms with excellent views. It’s central but quieter than other areas of the property, giving you that balance of convenience and relaxation.
4. Additional Tips:
Overall, the Hilton Hawaiian Village offers a wide range of room options that cater to both couples and families looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation. Enjoy your stay in Waikiki!
