Hainan is an island province, comprised of islands of varying sizes and oceans. Originally connected to the mainland, Hainan Island was separated by the Qiongzhou Strait approximately a million years ago due to a volcanic eruption and subsequent subsidence of the Earth's crust. Hainan Province was established in 1988. Previously under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, its full name was the "Guangdong Province Hainan Administrative Region." Following its separation from Guangdong, Hainan Province and the Hainan Special Economic Zone were established.

Haikou is located in the north of the low-latitude tropics with an average temperature of around 20 degrees. There is no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer. It is evergreen and warm and comfortable all year round.

Stone Park, located in Longlou Town, Wenchang City, Hainan Province, is centered on Tongguling Ridge and marks Hainan's easternmost corner. The park, stretching 2 kilometers along the coast, features rocks that were uplifted from the surface by orogenic movements tens of thousands of years ago, sculpted and weathered by tidal forces over time. This bedrock coastline is composed of granite with metamorphic intrusions, creating beautiful streaks and patterns in many of the rocks.
The entire scenic area consists of three distinct sections, each of which represents its most striking features. The first section is majestic, with rocks weighing thousands of tons and forming a myriad of shapes. The second section is composed of dark green granite, with smoother, staggered rocks. The third section is uniform in form, composed of natural goose egg stones. These goose egg stones, large and small, lie peacefully on Tonggu Cape, as if telling modern people the story of how an iron rod was ground into a needle.

Transportation to the scenic area: Take the Hainan East Ring High-speed Railway to Wenchang Station, transfer to Wenchang Bus Station, or go directly to the bus station and take the shuttle bus to Longlou Town, and then take a taxi to arrive.
The rocks are just foreshadowing. Hainan's most famous East Suburb Coconut Grove is the truly captivating destination. Here, coconut trees teem in vast swathes, each in a variety of shapes and sizes. Red coconuts, green coconuts, refined dwarf coconuts, tall coconuts, and water coconuts—just the mention of them makes your mouth water. For foodies, cycling through these roads is a blessing or a curse.
Walking all the way from the East Suburb Coconut Grove is like walking on a country road, with lovely coconuts as your companions. Along the way, deep into the coconut grove of the Bamen Bay Greenway, there will be a large "secret base" - the coconut grove, which is also the best place to create a pose.

1. Haikou-Eastern Suburbs (Luxury Air-conditioned Bus)
From Haikou:
There are luxury air-conditioned buses from Haikou East Station that go directly to Wenchang Dongjiao Town. The buses depart at 07:40, 09:05, 11:50, 14:15 and 17:10 every day and take one and a half hours. They pass through Qinglan Bridge and Wenchang City.
From the eastern suburbs:
The bus departs at 07:00, 09:40, 12:00, 14:40 and 17:40 every day, takes one and a half hours, and passes through Qinglan Bridge and Wenchang City.
2. Haikou-Wenchang-Eastern Suburbs (Electric Train-Minibus/Large Bus-Minibus)
You can also take a bus from East Station or South Station to Wencheng Town, the seat of Wenchang County. There is a bus every half an hour or so, and then take a minibus across the road from Wencheng Station to Dongjiao Town.
Alternatively, you can take a high-speed train from Haikou Railway Station or Haikou East Station to Wenchang Station, then take a bus to Dongfeng Road Station or Wenchang Bus Station, and then take a minibus to Dongjiao Town.
3. Sanya-Wenchang-Eastern Suburbs (Electric Train-Minibus/Large Bus-Minibus)
Alternatively, you can take a high-speed train from Sanya Station to Wenchang Station, then take a bus to Dongfeng Road Station or Wenchang Bus Station, and then take a minibus to Dongjiao Town.
There are two buses a day from Sanya Bus Terminal to Wencheng, departing at 07:40 and 12:40 respectively. The whole journey is 246 kilometers and takes 3.5 hours. Then take the minibus across the road from Wencheng Station to Dongjiao Town or Dongjiao Coconut Grove.

The route continues along the stunning coastline, stretching from the Shimei Bay exit of the Hainan East Expressway in the south to Dahuajiao in the north.
