Tianzhu Lake, with a catchment area of 320,000 square kilometers and a water storage capacity of 3.05 million cubic meters, stretches over three kilometers. Its width varies from several hundred meters to a few meters, winding its way through the valley. Dragon boats and speedboats offer visitors a glimpse of the quaint power station, the majestic dam, and the surrounding scenery.
The mountains here are not high, but stacked up in layers in a staggered manner; the trees are lush, high and low, and the forest waves are surging. From time to time, a stone forest emerges from the woods, steep and rugged, with strange shapes. Sometimes one or two huge rocks emerge, like gods and beasts, so lifelike that they are amazing.

Meizhu Village is located ten kilometers southwest of Xinchang County. It was built in the Song Dynasty and is adjacent to Chengtan River to the west. The Xinjing Line passes in front of the village. It is the largest village in Meizhu Town. In ancient times, there were many plum trees here and there were settlements nearby, hence the name of the village.
The village has preserved a large number of valuable ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China, including watchtowers, nunneries, ancestral temples, and houses. The beams and frames are made of huge materials, the pavilions are spacious, the eaves are carved, the window panes are patterned, and the carvings are gorgeous and unique in style. In the fifth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1632), Xu Xiake entered Xinchang from Wannian Temple in Tiantai, traveled to Tianmu Mountain, Huishuling, Banzhupu and other places, and recorded his investigation experience. The Xiake Ancient Trail got its name from this.
From Tiantai Wannian Temple, you can climb the high ridge behind the temple, where you will see flowers lining the road. You can also climb the boundary marker between the two places to admire the Tianmu Sea of Clouds. Then you can pass through Dizang Temple and enter Xinchang County, go down to Qingliang Temple, and go directly to Banzhu Village. All the way down the valley, you will see clear streams and waterfalls, which makes you feel like you are in a paradise.

Along the Hanfei River, there is a twenty-mile quiet stream, and the Danxia wind hums softly all the way. There are green mountains and lush trees on both sides, and waterfalls like silk. Walking along the riverside, there is a large canyon sandwiched between the two peaks, which is deep and beautiful.

The Yanbang Ancient Road was once the only way for salt merchants to smuggle salt. Starting from Qingbaishi Village in Dashiju, the ancient road ascends the mountain, crosses the ridge, and descends past Shangchenshan Village to reach Shuilianjian, where Zhu Daoqian, the founder of the Prajnaparamita school of Buddhism and a renowned scholar in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, once lived in seclusion for 30 years. It was also the retreat of Gu Huan, a renowned Taoist scholar in the Southern Qi Dynasty.
The whole route is full of beautiful scenery, with alternating water and land routes, making it one of the classic routes for hikers.

Walking along the stream, due to the influence of the mountain, you have to cross the stream eighteen times, either at shallows or at anchor, creating the so-called "Nine Bends and Eighteen Crossings".
