Dalian, a city of stunning beauty, both mountain and sea, a city of delicious seafood and enticing barbecue, a city full of charm and few tourists, a city with affordable prices and perfect for leisurely strolls, a city beautiful in all seasons, a city I highly recommend.
Save the following guide and remember to visit this city when you want to go out for a walk.

This is the commanding height of Dalian. There is an observation deck. From different directions, you can see Dalian Port, Jinzhou Bay, the cross-sea bridge and other landscapes. Photography enthusiasts can come here to watch the sunset, which is easier to take pictures.

Interestingly, the altitude here is 259.6 meters, which sounds like "love me for a long time", so many young couples come here.

Dalian Labor Park has a long history. It was first built by the Russians in 1898 and has been continuously expanded since then. It is a part of the childhood memories of many Dalian people.

It was once a glorious place, and now it is a park for locals to do morning exercises and walk their dogs. You can take a leisurely stroll here and feel the atmosphere of life in Dalian.
You wouldn’t have thought that in addition to Huaniao Island and Pingtan Island, you can also see the fluorescent sea in Dalian.

Xiaoheishi, located on the coast of the Bohai Sea, has a unique sea erosion landform in China. Coupled with the frequent appearance of "blue tears" in recent years, it has become a niche tourist destination in Dalian.

Not only is there a fantastic fluorescent sea here, but General Rock is also the "white moonlight" in the hearts of photographers.

It’s not just because of the incredible workmanship of these two reefs, but more importantly, it’s because of the unique geographical location and orientation:
In the evening, if there is a strong northwest wind, the rolling waves on the sea surface hit the rocks, the quiet and magical scene, and the ever-changing clouds in the sea and sky before and after sunset, you can take amazing pictures even with your mobile phone.

Guanglu Island is a small island in the north, located in the west of Changshan Island in Changhai County, Dalian City. It is so unknown that there are not many tourists even in the peak tourist season.
Guanglu Island boasts a beach with clean water and sand, the Xiaozhushan Cultural Site representing the history of human development in the Neolithic Age in Dalian, the Mazu Temple built in the Ming Dynasty, and the mysterious Shenxian Cave.
You can go to an empty beach and sit from sunrise to sunset. After saying goodbye to the sunset, go to a roadside food stall and eat as much seafood as you want. The island’s specialty, “Hokkaido scallops”, are the finest of scallops, so don’t miss it.

The Golden Stone Beach Resort is surrounded by the sea on three sides. It is the back garden of Dalian people and a must-see spot for tourists.
There are many attractions here, including Discovery Kingdom Theme Park, Jinshi World Celebrity Wax Museum, Jinshitan Geological Museum, Jinshiyuan Park, Ten Miles of Golden Coast, etc. If you come here, you must prepare a day.

The golden beach has a wide view, and the water clarity and sand quality are better than those in the city.
Discovery Park has a crazy town, a mysterious desert, a metal factory, a magic forest, etc., making it an excellent choice for family travel.

Binhai National Geopark is a popular photography destination. Here, you can admire rock deposits dating back hundreds of millions of years, and numerous ancient fossils that have formed into bizarre boulders, resembling stone monkeys observing the sea or rocs spreading their wings.

Binhai Road is a scenic sea view highway that stretches for more than 30 kilometers, connecting the mountains and the sea. It symbolizes the vows of love and is also known as the "Lover's Road."

It starts from Haizhiyun Park, Bangchuidao Island and Laohutan Ocean Park in the east; the middle part includes Yanwoling and Beidaqiao; the west is connected to the Forest Zoo and Xinghai Square. Most people will take the city sightseeing bus to visit Binhai Road, and hiking enthusiasts can also walk to explore some sections.

Lushunkou is close to the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea, and has witnessed the modern history of the entire Liaodong Peninsula. It is the maritime gateway of Beijing and Tianjin and a natural barrier to the Northeast. It is also very close to Dalian, only a one-hour drive away.

In 1880, the Qing government established the Beiyang Fleet here, and Lushun became a military fortress. The Lushun Naval Port became one of the five most famous naval ports in the world at that time.

As an indispensable part of the Liaodong Peninsula, it is not only a tourist attraction, but also regarded as a witness to trace history and not forget national humiliation.

What is worth visiting in Lushunkou is the Lushun Submarine Museum, which is the first museum in my country with submarine culture as its theme.

It consists of exhibition areas such as real submarines, world submarine culture, submarine life experience, simulated cruise experience, Dianyan Fort and Huangjinshan Bathing Beach. The most important exhibit is the Type 33 submarine.
In addition to the famous attractions mentioned above, the beauty of Dalian is also hidden in the streets and alleys. It is a place where you can encounter beautiful scenery just by strolling around.
For example, trams.
Dalian is the only city in mainland China where trams have never stopped running.

In 1909, the first tram slowly passed through the streets of Dalian. It has been more than 100 years now. There are two tram lines, 201 and 202. Some vehicles on Line 201 are still in the style before liberation, and the pure wooden interior is full of age.

For example, the International Architecture.
Dalian can be said to have had a difficult fate, having been colonized by many countries. However, the scars of the past have become a scenic spot in the city after the sedimentation of history.

Japanese-style buildings can be seen in Nanshan Folk Street.

The Russian Style Street retains centuries-old Russian buildings and has a strong classical European style.

Oriental Venice Water City is a castle building located in Donggang, which is modeled after Venice. You can also take a gondola cruise to enjoy the sightseeing.

For example, the streets are full of seafood barbecue and Japanese food!
As a coastal city, seafood is a given. As a northeastern city, barbecue is a must-try. Grilled squid, grilled prawns, grilled scallops, grilled oysters... every one of them is mouth-watering.
This place is close to Japan and South Korea, and many foreigners come here to work, bringing with them authentic Korean barbecue and Japanese food. Any restaurant you choose will be delicious!

It's cherry season! Dalian is the main cherry producing area in China, accounting for 20% of the total output. Here, perhaps you can achieve cherry freedom!
