Located on the Bohai Sea coast, 4 kilometers south of Shanhaiguan City in Hebei Province, this area was considered the eastern starting point of the Ming Great Wall before 1990. Laolongtou, situated on a high and steep terrain, boasts a "Stone Fortress Entering the Sea" built by Qi Jiguang, the Ming Dynasty general of Jizhen. This fortress resembles a dragon's head plunging into the sea, stirring up the waves, hence the name "Laolongtou."
Laolongtou, comprising the Seaward Stone Fortress, Jinglu Terrace, Nanhaikou Pass, and Chenghai Tower, is the only naval and land defense system on the Great Wall that integrates mountain, sea, pass, and city walls. Over more than 600 years, Laolongtou has etched a turbulent history, providing a valuable lesson in patriotism.

Beidaihe Biluo Tower Sea Bar Park is located on Xiaodongshan on the Beidaihe coast. The main building, Biluo Tower, is the highest point in the Dongshan area of the coast.
