A look at some of the most beautiful and undiscovered destinations in western China. These are the places with the most beautiful scenery and few people, and only 1% of people know about them!

Preface

During every holiday, tourists pack their bags and crowd into the "Internet celebrity attractions". While leaving behind photos of Internet celebrities checking in, their travel experience is not that exciting.

We have arrived at a place far away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, where hidden scenery you have never seen before.

These little-known natural landscapes are also included in the niche routes full of original ecological temptations. Today I will introduce to you the extremely niche tourist attractions in the west, so that your future vacation will be smooth all the way.

Xinjiang

The vast territory located in the northwest border of China

Filled with the refreshing feeling of returning to nature

There are even top-secret attractions that cannot be found on the map

————————————————————————————————————

Kazakhstan's Temir volcanoes

The Kartemir volcanic group, known as the "Eye of the Pamirs", was formed 1,500 years ago. It has a total of more than a dozen colorful spring landscapes, which are staggered in height and various shapes. It is the most typical crater in the world.

Manas Salt Lake

Manas Salt Lake, five times larger than Chaka Salt Lake, boasts breathtaking scenery, with "water and sky blending into one, turquoise sea and silver sand." In certain seasons, unpredictable "mirages" can appear on the lake's surface.

Okaido

The Dahaidao is the most legendary section of the Silk Road. It is full of gullies and rarely populated. The numerous rare geographical features have been formed through millions of years of weathering, flooding and sand erosion.

northwest

The vastness of the Northwest makes it impossible to fully explore its beauty.

Eye of Kunlun, Secret Salt Lake, Desert Lake...

These are destined to be travel destinations for a few people

————————————————————————————————————

Aiken Springs

Deep in the Aral grassland of Haixi Prefecture, there is a geothermal fountain that has been gushing for thousands of years.

Aiken Spring brings copper-red minerals, which flow freely across the northwest land. Looking down from the air, the pattern formed by years of sulfur precipitation around the spring looks like a phoenix spreading its wings or a mysterious eye, so this place is also called the "Eye of Kunlun".

Dongtaijinaier Lake

Dongtaijinaier Lake is located in the Qaidam Basin. Who would have thought that in such a place known for its drought, there could be such a paradise on earth?

Come with me to the Northwest to see the "sea". Here, the blue water will make you feel like you are in the Maldives. Strolling along the salt stalks between the lakes, the salt, white sand, sky and lake water blend into one.

Mangya Emerald Lake

The green salt lake in Mangya is different from the usual emerald lake. The salt here is immersed in the lake water, more like star-like round beads falling into a jade plate.

Donggecuo Lake

Donggecuo Lake means "a lake surrounded by a thousand mountains". In summer, the lake is green and clear with the sacred Mount Zhuoge reflected in it. In autumn, the grass beach turns red, forming a spectacular sight of red grass beach all over the mountains.

Badain Jaran Red Lake

It’s amazing to have a lake in the desert, but what’s even more amazing is that the lake is pink!

There are 114 lakes hidden in the arid Badain Jaran Desert, the most special of which is the shining pink lake - the red lake formed by the influence of special microorganisms.

Tibet

In Tibet, not only do we gather devout faith

It fills the gaps on your travel map.

The wild and untamed scenery is exactly the Tibet of our dreams.

Pangong Lake

The lake's waters flow from east to west, changing from freshwater to brackish water and finally to saltwater. The lake's waters, which fall within my country's territory, are emerald green and rich in bounty. The lake itself is home to more than a dozen islands of varying sizes, a haven for waterfowl.

Pangong Lake is about 150 kilometers long from east to west and only 5 meters wide at its narrowest point. It looks quite distinctive when viewed on the map, like a "long-necked swan".

Qudennima Glacier

The glacier is crystal clear and glows blue. It is one of the few glaciers that can be touched up close. Below it is the holy lake with glaciers floating all year round, the temples not far away, the pilgrims, and the numerous 8,000-meter-high mountains on the border in the distance. It looks like the Great Wall in Game of Thrones!

Zabuye Chaka

Zhabuye Chaka, also known as Zhabuye Co, is located in Renduo Township, Longger District, Zhongba County, Shigatse Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is one of the three largest lithium salt lakes in the world. This "pink lake" will appear pink and dark red as the weather changes.

Purogangri

The Puruogangri Glacier is the world's third largest glacier, after Antarctica and the Arctic. With an average elevation of 6,600 meters, it lies within the core area of the Qiangtang Nature Reserve. It's considered the largest ice sheet on Earth's Third Pole (referring to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau). China-TravelNote, in partnership with the local government, holds exclusive access to this glacier.

In this scenic area, glaciers, lakes and deserts coexist with each other, forming a trinity. Such landscape is rarely seen in the world.

Zizhu Temple

This is a magnificent temple built on a cliff. The mysterious veil of Bon religion is slowly unveiled here, and devout believers meet the majestic cliffs.

Sichuan

Look up at the sacred mountain and watch the Milky Way

There are countless "treasures" buried here, it is a wonderland for explorers

They are low-key, primitive and ancient, and are a true "hidden paradise"

————————————————————————————————————

Boyongcuo

There is a place where three magnificent and unique sacred mountains, Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xianuoduoji, stand side by side, which is rare. One viewfinder can capture them all.

Gourd Sea

Huluhai, located deep in western Sichuan, is composed of two lakes, one large and one small. It is shaped like a gourd and has beautiful scenery. It is surrounded by high mountains. If you want to see its true appearance, you may have to go through a difficult journey.

Only by standing in the middle of the jade-like lake and feeling the beautiful picture of the harmony of mountains and water can you appreciate the charm of this world.

Eye of Genyen

The pond lying quietly at the foot of the sacred mountain Genyen looks like "eyes leading to heaven" in aerial photography. It reflects the blue sky and white clouds, connecting the Genyen peaks, and adding a bit of holiness and mystery to this holy mountain.

Yunnan

The south of the colorful clouds seems to be synonymous with beautiful mountains and rivers

Excluding Erhai Lake and Lugu Lake

Can you imagine the primitive tribe hidden deep in Yunnan?

————————————————————————————————————

Wengding

Wengding Village has preserved the most complete and original Wa culture. Surrounded by continuous high mountains, everything around it is like a historical and cultural museum of the Wa people. It is praised by National Geographic magazine as "China's last primitive tribe."

Guizhou

The village in the deep valley and high mountains is less noisy than the tourists.

Not only has it preserved its own customs and culture to the greatest extent

It also shows unique scenery in places that people cannot see

————————————————————————————————————

Libo Caves

In a Buyi village deep in the primeval forests of southern Guizhou, it has been passed down from generation to generation that the nearby Libo Cave is the entrance to the mysterious inner world of the earth.

Entering the cave, the magnificent and unique landforms show an exotic scenery that is completely different from the surface world, as if there are mysterious treasures hidden deep inside.

Shaanxi

A famous cultural city in the northwest

Full of traces carved by time

But there are also geological relics you have never seen

————————————————————————————————————

Hanzhong Tiankeng Group

The world's largest "tiankeng group" geological relic is excellent in terms of evaluation criteria such as quantity, typicality, originality, and rarity. It is not only a niche travel destination, but also has extremely high research value.

Inner Mongolia

Cradle of grassland civilization, hometown of nomadic people

There are grasslands where the wind blows the grass low and you can see cattle and sheep.

There are also volcanoes standing in the middle of the grassland.

————————————————————————————————————

Ulan Hada Volcanoes

Have you ever seen a volcano standing tall in the middle of a vast grassland? This is the Ulan Hada volcanic group.

Among them, the cone-shaped volcanic rock body No. 6 is exposed due to mining, shining with brown-red light under the setting sun, and looks like the Samadhi Fire of Taishang Laojun from a distance.
