Meili Snow Mountain is a renowned pilgrimage site in Tibet. Its main peak, Mount Kawagebo, is revered by Tibetans as the "God of Snow Mountains." At 6,740 meters, it is the highest peak in Yunnan. At the foot of the Meili Snow Mountain lies the Tibetan village of Yubeng, nestled amidst the surging Lancang River, creating a sense of isolation.
Walking is the primary mode of transportation in Yubeng Village. Access to the village requires a 10-kilometer hike from Xidang Village, crossing the Nanzong Pass at an altitude of 3,729 meters. Its circumambulation route, a tradition dating back over 700 years, remains largely unknown.
