This ancient Chinese residential building is located in Luzhai Village, east of Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province. The Lu family settled here in the Song Dynasty, where they have lived together for generations. From the 19th year of the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty (1421), when Lu Ruicheng achieved Jinshi (imperial examination), to the mid-Qing Dynasty, when a continuous stream of imperial examinations continued, they built numerous large mansions, forming a relatively complete residential complex from the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is also a typical feudal family settlement. In 1988, the State Council of the People's Republic of China designated it a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Site.
