Baishishan Geological Park, a natural scenic area dominated by spectacular peaks and forests, is one of Baoding's most famous scenic spots. The park has two entrances: the east gate, located in Fenglianggou Village in Laiyuan, and the west gate, located in Chajianling Village, dozens of kilometers apart. Its scenery, resembling that of Huangshan Mountain in Anhui Province, has earned it the nickname "Little Huangshan." Baishishan boasts a unique landscape, lush vegetation, and a diverse flora and fauna, including peaks, strange rock formations, cliffs, seas of clouds, and rare flora and fauna. The most striking feature is the glass plank road on the mountain, currently China's longest, widest, and highest glass plank road, earning it the nickname "Road to the Sky."

When we arrived on the first day, it was already afternoon and it was drizzling. We went up the mountain in the rain to try to see if there would be a sea of clouds. It turned out that we were very lucky. We took the Xiangyunmen cable car and the electric car to the viewing platform in front of the leek garden. Looking down at the distant mountains below, the rolling clouds moving between the mountains were really shocking.

There are two common ways to go up the mountain after entering the Baishishan Scenic Area. One is to take the shuttle bus in the scenic area, and the other is to take the cable car.
After parking our car in the parking lot outside the scenic area, we entered the scenic area and took the Xiangyunmen Cableway directly up the mountain. The Xiangyunmen Cableway is 2,380 meters long and takes about 8 minutes. The scenery along the way will show different wonderful scenery under different weather conditions.

After getting off the cable car from Xiangyun Gate, you can take the battery shuttle bus to Jiucai Garden. There is a statue in Jiucai Garden Square. According to legend, in ancient times, there was a master named Lu who could fly on the cliffs. He had great medical skills and could even turn stones into gold. The locals called him Baishi Laozu. Because Baishi Mountain is the first of Taihang Mountains, he is also called Taihang Laozu.

We entered the mountain from a loop at 1,600 meters and returned from a half-loop at 1,900 meters, completing a full loop. Although this route took longer, the scenery we were able to enjoy was definitely the most comprehensive, numerous, and beautiful. Among them, the Fairy Drying Boots was the first of the Baishishan rocks that impressed me during the full loop.

A strange rock stands on the top of a heavy rock. From the side, it looks like a boot, just like an immortal is drying his boots here.
The Natural Corner Cafe is also called the Cloud Cafe. After walking along the Grand Loop, you will have almost exhausted all your energy. It is a good opportunity to take a break and have a cup of coffee here.

Most importantly, when you drink coffee here, in addition to tasting the coffee, you can also enjoy the magnificent view of Baishi Mountain outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows in the cafe at an altitude of 1,600 meters.

This is also a popular check-in spot. Just a quick search will bring up all kinds of beautiful photos, so couples or couples traveling together should definitely check in here! It will definitely allow you to harvest beautiful and fresh photos in addition to the natural scenery during your trip to Baishi.

Looking from the mountain trails along the way, three peaks of different heights are like three saints on a pilgrimage, and the direction is exactly to the west, which coincides with the Three Saints of the West in Buddhist culture. When I saw the three peaks and the introduction, my first feeling was that it was amazing, it was really amazing, how could there be such a coincidence?

Going down further, you will reach the Three Caves Heaven. The rocks in the Three Caves Heaven are also called kissing stones, representing the three stages of love: from the first love, to the embrace of passionate love, and then to the union that will last forever.

The meaning it represents is extremely romantic. Couples or spouses who come to Baishishan must go to Sandongtian. Not only will you be amazed at the wonders of nature, but you can also love each other more with the beautiful meaning of eternal love and one year's kiss.

The God of Taihang is the iconic landscape of Baishishan. It is an isolated stone pillar hidden deep in the valley of Feihu Gorge. Although it is only 11 meters high, it looks like a statue, hanging alone on the strange rocks, which is very wonderful.

Feiyunkou Cableway is a transfer cableway at an altitude of 1,600 meters on the Grand Loop Line. It is called Feiyunkou because you can see white clouds flying here.

After reaching the platform from Feiyunkou, continue walking forward along the right side of the mountain, and you will see a super large heart-shaped platform hanging outside the cliff. This platform is called Shanmengtai.

It seems that from the beginning of the Three Caves Heaven, everything here is filled with the sweetness of love and the air of romance. People always talk about vows made on the mountain and the sea, so how would holding hands and walking up to the mountain to make a vow rank among the 10 levels of romance?

The photos taken on the Sky Mirror are really stunning. Wearing a red dress and standing on the Sky Mirror, she forms a sharp contrast with the blue sky and white clouds. Any photo of her is so beautiful that it is irresistible.

I believe this is also a perfect place to propose, promising your partner a lifetime of protection and companionship under this sky. If you are planning to propose, you might consider this place; your proposal ceremony will definitely be the envy of others.

Returning to Jiucaiyuan from the 1900-meter loop, you can see another strange rock landscape on Baishi Mountain on the observation deck behind the 1314 sign, called Bajie Marrying a Wife.

If you look at the stone in front of you and imagine it, it looks like the head of Zhu Bajie, carrying a veiled bride on his back. You may not be able to tell from the picture, but believe me, as long as you stand here in person and look at it from this angle, it will look more and more like it.

After Bajie got married, there was another stop which was Foguangding. However, due to the physical reasons of climbing the large loop, we did not go up. Instead, we chose the flat road next to it and went forward in a loop, where we encountered another strange rock landscape on Baishishan Mountain - Jiang Taigong Fishing.

This is the last strange rock landscape before returning to Jiucaiyuan Square. If you look at it from a straight angle, you will see a large upright rock that looks like a dolphin just out of the water, stirring up layers of waves.

It is recommended to drive by yourself, starting from Beijing and navigating to Baishishan. The distance is more than 200 kilometers and it takes about 3 hours to drive. The transportation is very convenient and you can arrive directly by taking the Lailai Expressway.
Baishishan ticket price: 135 yuan
Xiangyunmen Cableway (East Gate) 70 yuan one way
Cuiping Peak Cableway (West Gate) 80 yuan
Feiyunkou Cableway: 45 yuan per trip
One-way bus: 30 yuan
There are many farmhouse B&Bs around the scenic area, but they are a certain distance away from the scenic area. Friends who drive themselves are advised to make reservations in advance according to their own needs. They can also stay directly in the hotel inside the scenic area. Online reservations are very convenient.
1. Keep warm
If the weather is bad, remember to keep warm and bring your own thick clothes. If you don’t have any, you can rent a military coat before exiting the Xiangyunmen cable car station.
2. Sun protection
When doing outdoor sports, you must take good sun protection measures, such as sunscreen, sun hat, and sun-protective clothing. All suggestions that can be made should be made.
3. Roadside meals
If you want to take a large loop, it is strongly recommended that you carry some small snacks and water that can quickly replenish your physical strength. Try to concentrate them as much as possible to use the least weight and achieve the greatest effect.
