Take a bus from Chengdu to Dayi County, and then buy a ticket to Xiling Snow Mountain Scenic Area from Dayi County Bus Station. There are four round trips a day, so remember to ask the driver in advance for the departure time.

️We went to the top of the mountain first and then went down to the middle of the mountain to play in the afternoon. ️There are ski resorts, hotels and various entertainment facilities halfway up the mountain. If the weather is good, you can go early to see the sunrise and the sea of clouds at the Sun and Moon Terrace on the top of the mountain. I also walked from the Sun and Moon Terrace to the Yin and Yang boundary. If you are not physically fit, it is not recommended to walk to the end.

If you want to watch the sunrise, you can only stay in Leidongping or Jinding. The operating hours of the Jieyingdian cable car every morning are adjusted according to the sunrise time. It is recommended to stay in Shangri-La Town, which is close to the scenic area and has a relatively low altitude, making it very suitable for accommodation. Daocheng County and Yading Village are too far away and have a high altitude.
I recommend the "Quiet Xiaoying Inn" ⭐, which is only 2.4km away from the scenic area. The proprietress is very welcoming. The room is equipped with a humidifier and heater. The bed is moderately soft and hard, which can ensure a good night's sleep.
