Day 1 Shanghai → Tangshan
All day
At 7:00, everyone gathered downstairs at Mingshen Center Building and signed in.
We set off on time at 7:30. The team leader introduced the itinerary and the team members introduced themselves. There was laughter and joy all the way.
We arrived at Tangshan Hot Spring around 12:30 and chose to bathe in Tangshan No. 1 Hot Spring, one of the best hot springs in Tangshan. We enjoyed a buffet lunch in the hot spring at noon.
After the hot springs at 16:30, we gathered and headed to the Qinhuai River in Nanjing.
Arrive in Nanjing around 6:00 PM. After checking into your hotel, you can plan a meal out. We chose to stay near Laomendong, a popular dining destination for locals along the Qinhuai River. Unlike Confucius Temple, where the area is packed with tourists, you'll find authentic Huaiyang cuisine enjoyed by locals. After dinner, you can plan a night cruise along the Qinhuai River.
Day 2 Tangshan → Shanghai
All day
Wake up at 8:00 and have breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast at 8:30, we'll gather at Plum Blossom Hill, home to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, one of the largest imperial mausoleums in ancient my country. In winter, the hill is covered in plum blossoms, making it one of China's four major plum blossom areas. Here, immerse yourself in a sea of plum blossoms.
12:30 Searching for authentic Huaiyang cuisine nearby
14:00 Get on the bus and prepare to return to Shanghai
We returned to our departure point in Shanghai around 19:00. We were reluctant to leave and said goodbye with tears in our eyes. We wished everyone a happy new year.
