Nanjing, one of China's Four Ancient Capitals and a designated National Historical and Cultural City, is a crucial birthplace of Chinese civilization. It has protected the legitimacy of Chinese civilization numerous times throughout history and is the only one of the Four Ancient Capitals to have never served as the capital of a foreign regime. It has long been the political, economic, and cultural center of southern China. Homo sapiens have been active in Nanjing as far back as 1-1.2 million years ago, with Nanjing Man already living in Tangshan 350,000-600,000 years ago. With a history spanning over 7,000 years, nearly 2,600 years of city construction, and nearly 500 years of capital status, Nanjing is known as the "Ancient Capital of Six Dynasties" and the "Metropolis of Ten Dynasties."

Gaochun Old Street is known as the "Second Confucius Temple in Jinling" and the "First Ancient Street in Jinling." Over 800 meters long, it's lined with shoulder-to-shoulder residential houses, each with unpainted wooden doors, preserving the natural wood texture. Shops lining the street rarely sell the tourist souvenirs common in other ancient towns, instead focusing on Gaochun's local specialties, eschewing the flamboyant commercial atmosphere.

Tangshan Hot Springs is located in Tangshan Street, Jiangning District, Nanjing. It is a world-renowned hot spring resort and ranks first among China's four major hot spring resorts. It is the only hot spring in China to have obtained dual international certification for hot spring water quality from Europe and Japan. It is known as the "Millennium Holy Hot Spring, a Paradise for Health Preservation."
