Yesterday was the beginning of autumn. I never thought I would see a temperature of 40°C+ in my lifetime. I also never thought there would be a place like this where 100,000 acres of purple flowers bloomed all over the mountains in the early autumn.

This place has an average summer temperature of only 22°C and is known as the "Provence of Asia". It is the most beautiful "sea of flowers in the clouds" in China in August.

This is the only wild chive flower protection area in the country and has the largest wild chive flower belt in the world.
This is Guizhou Jiucaiping, located on the "Roof of Guizhou" and one of the top ten famous summer resorts in China.

Every August and September, when the seas of flowers elsewhere fade, over 100,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of wild chive flowers bloom here! They bloom for only 20 days a year, so if you miss it, you'll have to wait until next year!
Jiucaiping, called "Bosheye" in Yi language, means the highest peak of the bamboo-covered mountain. It is located in Hezhang County, Bijie City, in the northwest of Guizhou Province.
You would never imagine that on this plateau platform with an altitude of more than 2,900 meters, there are tens of thousands of acres of wild multi-star leek!

Jiucaiping is actually two peaks: Big Jiucaiping and Small Jiucaiping.
Big Jiucaiping, with an elevation ranging from 2,300 to 2,777 meters, offers a magical and unique scenery throughout the year. The hillsides are covered in purple chive flowers, each about 60 cm tall. The sea of chives is at its most spectacular from late August to early September.

Because it is surrounded by clouds and mist all year round, this vast area of wild chive flowers is also called the "Sea of Flowers on the Clouds".

Xiaojiucaiping, with an altitude of 2,900 meters, is not only the highest peak of Maozhufeng Mountain, but also the highest point in the entire Guizhou Province. It is truly the "Roof of Guizhou".

In addition to the endless sea of flowers, the Stone Forest is also unique and picturesque, integrating alpine grasslands, stone forest caves, and Yi ethnic customs.

When the entire Jiucaiping is submerged in a dreamy purple sea of flowers, many people who come here to check in will suddenly think that they have arrived in the holy land of lavender - Provence, France.

But in my opinion, the lavender in Provence has too many signs of artificial maintenance. The beauty of Jiucaiping is more primitive, natural and wild!

A few days ago, the highly anticipated "Bijie City 2022 Chive Flowering Period Forecast" was released! Officials predict that this year's flowering period will be slightly later than in previous years.

Tips:
Daluicaiping low altitude area
First flowering: August 6
Peak flowering period: August 26
The top of Daluicaiping Mountain
First flowering: August 12
Peak flowering period: September 5

This means that starting this week, you can plan your trip to this sea of flowers to enjoy the flowers and take photos! !
Most importantly, Guizhou's current epidemic prevention policy is relaxed. As long as the Guizhou health code and itinerary code are green, you can travel freely throughout the province (friends from Shanghai and Beijing can also go~) ✈✈✈
Flights to Guiyang are super cheap right now, with flights departing from Hangzhou starting at just over 300 yuan. Going now is a great way to save money and escape the summer heat!
There's also Fanjing Mountain, Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, Huangguoshu Waterfall, Libo Xiaoqikong, cenotes of tiankeng (seven holes), and karst caves...just thinking about it makes you feel cool! In August, escape the scorching 40°C+ heat and cool down in this summer resort province!
Every August and September, in addition to the purple all over the mountains, the wonders of nature are cleverly gathered here, and dreamy poetry and imagination are surging everywhere.

Guizhou is known for its many mountains, but "If you haven't visited Jiucaiping, you haven't seen the mountains of Guizhou in vain." Standing on the top of Jiucaiping, you can watch the clouds drift by, the distant mountains like waves, and enjoy the gentle breeze. The mountains are connected to the sky, and the surrounding mountains are vast.

This place is famous for its geological wonders, including karst landforms and unique stone forests, some of which are like mountain gates and some like sharp swords.
The vegetation here is rich, with nationally rare plants such as Xilan Camellia and Alpine Ficus, as well as tracts of rock poplars, Wumeng azaleas in full bloom, clusters of arrow bamboo, and felt-like wild leeks...

In addition to the endless sea of purple flowers, the sunrise sea of clouds and mountain rock walls of Jiucaiping are also unique. There are also starry sky sea of clouds and vast peaks to fill your lens.

Is just a sea of flowers enough? When visiting Guizhou, we need to take in all its stunning scenery! As a summer resort with an average temperature of 20°C and a refreshing coolness, Guizhou has much more to offer this summer!

Guizhou, thanks to its rugged terrain, abundant rainfall, karst topography, and well-developed groundwater systems, boasts countless waterfalls. It is also home to numerous caves, earning it the nickname "Home of Ten Thousand Waterfalls," "Home of Caves," and "Kingdom of Cave Mazes."
Besides the well-known Huangguoshu Waterfall and the increasingly popular Xiaoqikong and Yangpi Caves in Libo, there are also lesser-known waterfalls like Dishuitan, Maling River, and Wengdongtan. This itinerary is designed for those who enjoy slow-paced adventures!

7 kilometers away from Huangguoshu Waterfall, if you follow the Tianxing Bridge riverside plank road all the way down, you can see a funnel-shaped waterfall.

Waves crashed against the boulders in the river, like pearls scattering like a bag of silver chains. These white particles fell continuously, turning into water vapor and hitting the faces of passersby, instantly refreshing them.

Geologists say that waterfalls are the result of a river dropping water over a steep drop. But I prefer the way writers describe them: "Waterfalls are miracles created by rivers at their wit's end."

If you have been to the Maling River Grand Canyon, seen this canyon known as "the most beautiful scar on earth", and then witnessed the beauty of the Maling River Waterfall with your own eyes, you will feel that the writer's metaphor is so accurate.

The Maling River Grand Canyon is 75 kilometers long and more than 200 meters deep. Inside the canyon, there are waterfalls, upside-down bamboos, and connected caves. Ancient and famous trees on both sides of the canyon are dotted in various shapes and sizes!

The rivers on both sides of the canyon are like the Milky Way with water pouring down from the sky. Standing at the bottom of the valley and looking up, the splashing water droplets sparkle in the sunlight, and the roar of the waterfall sweeps across the entire canyon.

The river, which stretches over 100 kilometers, is dotted with over 60 springs and waterfalls. One section of the canyon, less than 2 kilometers long, boasts 13 waterfalls forming a dramatic and spectacular waterfall cluster.
Dishuitan Waterfall, located 6 kilometers west of Huangguoshu Waterfall, is 410 meters high, six times the height of Huangguoshu Waterfall! Composed of three large waterfalls and dozens of smaller ones, its grandeur is unmatched by conventional waterfalls.

Standing on the top of the slope and looking at the entire waterfall, it looks like a fairy in a white dress, revealing her figure gracefully from the boundless cold green.
65 kilometers from Guiyang lies a massive cave waterfall, yet to be developed into a scenic spot. The Yangpidong Waterfall, 41 meters high, 20 meters wide at the top and 30 meters at the bottom, offers a truly stunning and rare sight.

The valley is tranquil, and the waterfall cascading from the cave mouth resembles a white parchment scroll. Paired with the dark green background, it feels like a tropical rainforest adventure—a truly stunning photo op!

Guizhou's waterfalls are incredibly beautiful, numerous, and each unique. Rather than relying on the hype online, it's worth experiencing them in person. The practical tutorials on photographing them are also packed with valuable information!

Secretly, this route 👇 has been incredibly popular since its launch. The first service on August 20th is already fully booked, with a few seats still available on the 27th. Grab the coolness and hop on board!
Since you've come to Guizhou, how can you not experience the customs of its ethnic minorities? From the Xijiang Miao Village to the Basha Tribe, from the Zhaoxing Dong Village to the Pianpo Buyi Village, you'll find beautiful scenery and authentic culture.

The Basha tribe is the last tribe in my country where guns can be legally carried. Experience authentic ethnic customs by witnessing gun-fired cannons, sickle-shaving rituals, and reed pipe dances.

The Twelve Door-Blocking Wines are the highest form of etiquette prepared by the Miao people for guests arriving from afar. This ancient custom embodies the Miao people's sincere and warm hospitality.

There's also the stunning night scene of the Dong village in Zhaoxing, and the exquisite birdcage weaving skills of Kala Village...

While the rest of the country is scorching hot, Guizhou, with its unique geographical location, remains cool. Enjoy the boundless beauty and diverse ethnic customs. What are you waiting for? Get on board!
40℃++ temperatures will continue until the end of the month! Escape the scorching heat with us and enjoy a blissful summer in this cool and tranquil province!
