Travel to Wu and Yue at night, stay overnight at Tianchi Lake in western Zhejiang; go rafting in Longjing Gorge; watch the Perseid meteor shower, the most romantic travel plan in history!

Day 1 Shanghai → Tianlong Grand Canyon → Tianchi Lake in Western Zhejiang

All day

We met at the designated China-TravelNote location at noon, checked in, and boarded the bus for our departure at 12:30 PM. Along the way, we interacted with the staff, enjoying a lively atmosphere.
Around 5:00 PM, we stopped at a local farmer's house for lunch, enjoying authentic local cuisine.
After lunch, we departed at 6:00 PM. After about half an hour, we arrived at the entrance of Tianlong Grand Canyon and continued up the canyon.
Around 9:30 PM, we arrived at Tianchi Lake in western Zhejiang, located on the border between Zhejiang and Anhui. We arranged our accommodation and set up our tents. It was time to go to the reservoir dam to watch the stars. (Tianchi Lake, located on the border between Ningguo, Anhui, and Lin'an, Zhejiang, is a thousand hectares wide and over 20 meters deep. It is rich in freshwater fish. The vast surrounding area, surrounded by towering mountains, creates a breathtaking alpine lake, a scene described as "vast and boundless, like a celestial realm floating in the sky.")
Tonight, we'll stay near Tianchi Lake, where the sky is filled with stars. Find a secluded spot, spread out a mat, and lie down with her beneath the stars, quietly waiting for the meteor shower to streak across our horizons. .

Sleep at the right time (for energetic tourists, remember to take more photos of the starry sky, the Milky Way, and star trails)

Note: This route requires walking at night, so please bring your own light source, headlamp and flashlight, etc.

Day 2: Tianchi Lake in Western Zhejiang → Longjing Gorge Rafting → Shanghai

All day

After waking up naturally in the morning, grabbing a bite to eat, and packing up our good mood from the previous day, the bus picked us up at the top of the mountain. At 9:00 AM, we set off for the rafting starting point for our thrilling "Wet Journey." The rafting course covers a total of 4 kilometers, with a 128-meter drop from the start to the end, dropping over dams varying from 3 to 5 meters. The river winds its way through steep canyons, rock formations, and lush trees, making for a picturesque journey through 18 bends and pools. The river flows rapidly down the steep riverbed, creating overlapping waves and constantly pounding the kayaks. Due to the rapid current and pure, clear water, some jokingly call it rafting in "Nongfu Spring." This rafting experience is breathtaking, and the thrill of navigating the turbulent waves is incredibly exhilarating. The occasional splashing waves are like crystal clear water, a breathtaking sight. Water fights, water gun battles, splashing water, and raft collisions transformed this place into a sea of joy!
After the rafting session, we took a short break
and had lunch at a farmhouse to satisfy our hungry stomachs.

Get on the bus back to Shanghai around 13:00~

The Wuyue Ancient Trail, approximately 35 kilometers long, of which only 15 kilometers remain intact, served as the primary route between Wuyue (Zhejiang) and Southern Tang (Anhui) during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. Ascending the stone steps along the Wuyue Ancient Trail, you'll be met by streams, waterfalls, winding paths, and a sense of undulation, creating a sense of harmony between heaven, earth, and humanity, like wandering in a painting. At the summit lies the "First Lake of Jiangnan"—Zhexi Tianchi. Situated at an altitude of 1,100 meters atop Qianqing Mountain, the Zhexi Tianchi boasts breathtakingly beautiful scenery. Its clear, azure waters blend seamlessly with the sky, gently sloping mountains offer expansive views, and it is a prime habitat for the sika deer, a nationally protected species. Surrounded by low mountains, lush grasses, gurgling springs, and crisscrossing streams, the lake forms a vast basin, creating a scene of mountains flowing toward Qianqing, and waters flowing toward the lake. With a surface area of 900 mu (approximately 1,000 mu), it is currently one of the highest and largest lakes in Jiangnan. It can be said that "the divine pool is vast and the sky mirror floats in the air."
