[Daji in the Clouds, Unrivaled Black Mythology: 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM]
We arrived at Daliang in the Clouds, a high mountain basin surrounded by rolling hills. Its rural villages offer delightful scenery, earning it the reputation of "A Peach Blossom Land in the Clouds." Daliang boasts a cascading waterfall, Xuehuaji, which cascades down thousands of feet, showcasing its extraordinary beauty from every angle and distance. Local villagers call this waterfall "Xuehuaji," hence the name Daliang Village. The Cryptomeria King, Shisi Temple (the filming location for "Black Myth"), ancient cypress trees, Daliang jars, the wooden houses along the stream, and the quaint, elegant stone streets all tell the story of this thousand-year-old village's rise and fall, highlighting Daliang's rich cultural heritage. (There are farmhouses near the scenic area, where you can enjoy a group meal or dine on your own before entering.)
The famous Cryptomeria japonica King, a 1,500-year-old tree, originally stood 50 meters tall and now stands 28 meters tall, with a diameter at breast height of 4.47 meters. Its trunk is hollow, having been struck by lightning. A portal-like hole at its base allows one to enter and exit freely. Once inside, one can gaze up at the sunlight, a truly astonishing sight.
5:30 PM
End of the tour and head to your accommodation for the night
6:30 PM
We drove to Taishun, a place steep and winding, with lush peaks and 179 peaks over a thousand meters tall. Many famous figures and wise men throughout history, fleeing disasters, migrated to this undulating, uninhabited "paradise," creating a uniquely mountainous civilization and leaving behind a wealth of historical and cultural heritage, most notably covered bridges and ancient dwellings. It's worth joining a group to explore this millennial town and discover its authentic street food.
Day 2 Taishun → Kucun → Baizhang Waterfall → Qingtian
06:00
Good Morning Beauty: Getting Up - 08:30
The happiness of a small town comes from a bowl of steaming hot breakfast in the alley in the morning! Not only that, breakfast is also an important business card of a place. How can you miss the morning in Taishun?
09:30
[Longing Village - Ku Village: 09:30-12:30]
Under the organization of the team leader, we are ready to start our itinerary today
10:00
We came to an interesting She ethnic group village [Kucun Ancient Village], which is a stone village with a history of thousands of years. It is like entering a world of pebbles, a castle built of pebbles.
In addition to appreciating the millennia-old farming and reading culture, many other interesting things have emerged here: A Plow Carrying Books, the Farming and Reading House, Jimi Bridgehead, and Three Cups of Tea. You can also try Grandma's Cakes, "One Goose, Five Ways to Eat," browse the Miaoa Tea House, and dance the bamboo pole dance with the She ethnic group girls...
13:00
Water from the Sky – Baizhang Waterfall: 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM
We arrived at the Baizhang Waterfall Scenic Area in Wencheng. "Waterfall" basically means shore, but it can also refer to a deep depression on the seabed. Clearly, in this context, it doesn't have either of these meanings. It turns out that in Wenzhou dialect, one of the most difficult dialects in China, "waterfall" specifically refers to a waterfall. Baizhang has three waterfalls, one a hundred feet wide. Let's go explore it. Entering the canyon, the sound of rushing water reaches us from a short distance, growing louder the further we go, like a tiger descending a mountain or a dragon emerging from the sea. The wind blows, sending water droplets cascading down our faces, soaking us instantly. Especially at the Water Curtain Cave in the second waterfall, I felt the urge to jog away, but I also quite enjoyed the gentle drizzle.
At the end of the canyon is a waterfall with a drop of more than 200 meters. If you have heard the roar of Huangguoshu Waterfall and seen the rushing of Hukou Waterfall, this waterfall in front of you may make you feel the grandeur of a waterfall plunging three thousand feet.
Returning to the visitor center, we passed a lake called Tianding Lake. Its waters were crystal clear, a faint blue hue shimmering in the midday sun. Towering mountains loomed in the distance, creating a hazy, ethereal aura. You guessed it, this lake is the source of Baizhang Waterfall. Indeed, the water descends from the sky. (The route to Baizhang Waterfall runs from the North Gate to the South Gate. Visitors from the South Gate must take a scenic shuttle bus back to the North Gate at their own expense.)
4:30 PM
Qingtian, Hometown of Overseas Chinese: 4:30 PM - Nightfall
After the tour, head to Qingtian County (a 1.5-hour drive). In Lishui, Zhejiang, lies a low-key, European-style town, rich in exotic charm. Qingtian County is a truly magical place, boasting a population of over 500,000, nearly half of whom live worldwide. The large number of overseas Chinese has also fostered this fascinating culture, with a cafe every five steps and a Western restaurant every ten. Experience Qingtian, a small city of overseas Chinese, on a city walk!
