Day 1 Urumqi → Jiangbulake → Urumqi
·morning
[Beijing time 8:30-9:00 am], all tourists will gather at the downstairs of Dacheng International (address: No. 358, Beijing South Road, Xinshi District, Urumqi), and the driver will pick up guests from far away (free pick-up and drop-off in the city for two or more people).
Our driver picked up our guests and departed promptly at 8:30 AM for Jiangbulake, the stunning grasslands of the Eastern Tianshan Mountains. The journey took approximately 3.5 hours, with lunch at the entrance of Jiangbulake Scenic Area. After lunch (around 1:00 PM), we boarded a scenic shuttle bus to continue our scenic tour (approximately 4 hours).
Jiangbulake is a Kazakh word meaning "holy spring" or "spring of life." Here, there is neither severe cold in winter nor scorching heat in summer. Every blade of grass, every tree, every mountain and every river is filled with green and beauty, full of magic and temptation.
June to September is the perfect time to enjoy the vast wheat fields. A gentle breeze caresses the rolling hillsides, and the wheat waves surge like the ocean's waves, inviting one to hum the familiar melody of "The Wind Blows the Wheat Waves": "Under the distant blue sky, golden waves of wheat surge." We followed the wooden plank road into the vast wheat fields of the Tianshan Mountains, offering panoramic views of the magnificent mountains and rivers. Past the magnificent wheat fields, we arrived at the mysterious Tianshan Strange Slope, certified by Guinness as the "World's Longest Strange Slope." Here, "water flows upwards, and cars have to refuel when going downhill," a scene that evokes a sense of the wonder and majesty of nature.
We arrived at the enchanting Jiangbulake Forest Grassland, where lush green grass, herds of cattle and sheep roamed, white Kazakh yurts dotted the grasslands, and snow-capped mountains and forests loomed in the distance. This pristine natural ecology and unique alpine grassland scenery unfolded a breathtaking panorama of the Tianshan Mountains for tourists. We followed the plank path across the grassland and into the forest, where eagles soared and birds chirped, bringing us into close contact with nature.
After enjoying the tour to your heart's content, we'll depart around 5:30 PM and return to Urumqi. We'll disband downstairs at Dacheng International Building in Urumqi between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM. (Free city transfers are available for groups of two or more, including airport and train station pickups.)
Tips: Jiangbulake Scenic Area is accessible by scenic shuttle bus by default; private cars are also allowed to enter the scenic area. To enter with a car, please purchase the driver's ticket + private car fee.
