Day 2 Tonglu → Shanghai

08:00

I had a great time last night, so I had a good sleep. It’s time to get up, pack my gear, wash up, have a farm breakfast, and pack all my luggage to set off.

08:30

With our luggage on our backs, we hiked up the mountain under the guidance of our team leader and guide. We climbed the thrilling [Leopard Cliff Big Slope], which has a slope of up to 60 degrees. We arrived at the mountain camp and took a short break to store our luggage, replenish water, and get snacks.

10:30

Collect the equipment and go to Wolong Cave. Then, under the guidance of the team leader and guide, enter the main cave of Wolong Cave, winding and spiraling into the cave.

12:30

Exiting the cave and seeing the sun again, you can't help but breathe a sigh of relief! (If you are afraid of the cold, you can choose not to enter Wolong Cave and go down the mountain along the mountain road)

1:30 PM

Return to the camp, have a meal on the way, share the food, and after lunch, go down the mountain along the trail. Friends who don’t want to hike down the mountain can choose to hire a car to go down the mountain and wait for the rendezvous at the foot of the mountain at their own expense; continue to go down the mountain in the afternoon and go all the way to the foot of the mountain

4:00 PM

Return to the bus, say goodbye to the local tour leader, and say goodbye to Jilong Mountain

8:00 PM

When we returned to the starting point in the city, everyone was still reluctant to leave and kissed goodbye with tears in their eyes!

Driving time: 5 hours

Hiking: 10km

Note: Rappelling and caving are considered extreme outdoor sports. China-TravelNote will provide on-site guidance from professional coaches and team leaders. We encourage all participants to listen carefully to the instructions and complete them, avoiding any actions that could endanger the safety of the team or themselves.
Shoes are available for rental for caving and wading. Military canvas shoes are reusable and cost approximately 5 yuan per rental. Payment is made on-site. If there is no signal, please bring cash.
Caving is exciting and refreshing, so please remember to bring a headlamp (bring your own), flashlight, and other lighting sources, as well as extra pairs of socks. River trekking shoes are recommended for caving (which may involve stagnant water).

1.Why didn’t I receive a text message notification after registering?

2. What if it rains during the event?

2-3 days before the event, we will decide whether the event will proceed as scheduled based on the weather forecast and route conditions. Please pay attention to our notifications. Most activities can proceed as usual even if there is light rain. There is still fun to be had on rainy days. If heavy rain is forecast, the event will be cancelled and a full refund will be given to everyone.

3. Is this route crowded?

Most of our routes are natural and niche, with relatively small traffic. Of course, it also depends on the registration situation for each period. Generally, ordinary models are 37-seat buses, and a few large models are 53-seat. Each car has a certain proportion of tour leaders to ensure the quality of the event.

Jilong Mountain is located in Tonglu, Hangzhou, on the shores of the Yaolin Fairyland and Tianmu Creek. This scenic mountain retreat, traversing prehistoric caves, offers a breathtaking natural landscape. The scenic Jilong Mountain and the precipitous Baizhang Rock, with a slope of nearly 60 degrees, offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. Jilong Mountain, a typical karst landform, stands 818 meters above sea level, nestled within an exposed zone of alpine rock and lava, where numerous rocky peaks stand tall. Some stand alone, resembling sculptures, while others curve like waves. The stony peaks, pillars, ravines, stalagmites, and stone gates are staggered in height, connected by winding paths, creating a scene reminiscent of a stone maze.
