Day 1 Shanghai → Changhua → Daochangping → Ningguo
All day
We met at the designated China-TravelNote location at 12:00 noon and signed in.
We boarded the bus and departed promptly at 12:30 p.m. Led by our tour leader, we chatted and laughed along the way...
We arrived in Changhua around 5:00 p.m. and had lunch, featuring authentic local dishes...
Around 6:30 p.m., the group began their ascent along a forested path. After about 40 minutes, we reached Daochangping Reservoir. A few dozen meters further, our view suddenly opened up to the thousand-acre Daochangping alpine meadow, part of the Qingliang Peak Nature Reserve. With luck, we might spot wild sika deer, white pheasants, adorable squirrels, and other wildlife.
On the way from Daochangping Meadow to Huanghua Pass, we passed a temple site. According to villagers, it was once a temple, but the Nationalist army burned it down during its passage, leaving only the empty site.
We arrived at Huanghua Pass, which once marked the border between Wu and Wei and now serves as the boundary between Zhejiang and Anhui. The ancient pass walls are now gone, leaving only the bare mountains for future generations to see. Huanghuaguan offers a wide view, overlooking the small villages and hills of Ningguo. Whenever cold air moves south, fog blankets the area.
The tourists, filled with enthusiasm, continued along the firebreak, arriving at a farmhouse in Ningguo, Anhui, around 6:30 PM.
Dinner was at 12:30 AM, and afterward, we all headed to the stargazing platform. Under the stars, we chatted about life and our dreams. As the meteor shower flashed, we made a wish to the center of the universe, expressing our deepest dreams.
Tired tourists can choose to fall asleep, while passionate tourists can ask the tour guide to play a killing game.
Please bring your own headlamp or flashlight
