Day 1 Guangzhou → Gaolan Port → Guangzhou

Meet and sign in at Kecun Exit B

08:00

We set off on time. The leader explained the itinerary to everyone in the car and led everyone to interact with each other, with laughter all the way.

11:00

Arrive at Feisha Village in Zhuhai, take a short walk and take a speedboat to Xiaosanlang Beach. After arriving, we will start our road trip and have a picnic by the sea. We will reserve about an hour for everyone to rest.

13:00

After lunch and a rest, we started our afternoon hike. We went through country roads, jungles, and rocky slopes. After climbing a small hill, we were greeted by a large windmill and a large lawn. After sweating profusely, we sat on the lawn and watched the waves. It was a great pleasure.

Then, we'll set off onto the beautiful Windmill Avenue and admire the dozens or even hundreds of windmills scattered across the hills of the scenic Gaolan Port. It's a picturesque journey (it's hot in the summer, so be sure to wear sunscreen).

5:30 PM

We arrived at the destination and boarded the bus for the return trip, ending the day's hike. We arrived back in Guangzhou around 20:30, and we kissed goodbye with tears in our eyes, promising to see each other again next time.

Driving distance: 180km, about 3 hours one way

Hiking: The entire route is 12 km long and takes 5 to 6 hours. Some sections of this route require climbing rocks and crossing jungles, so please wear long-sleeved clothes. Non-slip outdoor shoes are recommended for crossing the coastline.

Gaolan Harbor, also known as Dolphin Bay, boasts a timeless spectacle of flying sand, a rare wonder in southern China. It served as a natural coastal beacon along the ancient Maritime Silk Road. Our coastal crossing will take us past Feisha Beach, Sanlang Bay, and Xizhen Bay. The Gaolan Island rock paintings are located in Kongjing Bay, southwest of Gaolan Island, approximately 50 kilometers southwest of Zhuhai. The clear waters, fine sand, and towering rocks here suggest ancient human habitation. These three beaches resemble three pearls embedded in the eastern corner of Gaolan Island, and our coastal crossing is like stringing them together with a silver thread. If you're a dolphin-singing artist, this is a must-see. Singing by the sea might even attract Chinese white dolphins.
