We arrived in Xianju County for lunch;

We took a small car to the starting point of the hike. Everyone packed up and got off the car. The team leader led everyone in a warm-up before starting the hike.

We passed the Dragon King Temple where villagers pray for good weather, the Generals' Platform built during the Ming Dynasty, stone bridges, stone archways, stone paths, forests, streams and mountains.

Along the way, I saw peaks and ridges, clear streams and deep valleys, as if I had entered a primeval forest with dense vegetation. Before I woke up from my intoxication, the view before my eyes suddenly opened up.

Arrive at [Yanxia Village], a natural [stone world] full of primitive atmosphere. Here, everything is casual. Being in it, you will linger in the kingdom of stone.

After touring the village, we had dinner at a farmer's house. The poultry and vegetables grown locally were incomparable to those in the city.

At night, the ancient village is crisscrossed with alleys, quiet and simple, comfortable and free. Even those who are tired from work can take a leisurely stroll, chat, watch the stars and the moon, but can't bear to disrupt the tranquility.

Driving time: 5 hours

Hiking: Today's hike is about 9km, with a climb of about 500 meters, mainly on ancient stone roads and forest dirt roads.

Day 2 Yanxia Village → Xianju → Shanghai

It's time for the hardworking folks to get up early and watch the sunrise! Today, we'll gather around 5:00 AM and, led by our staff, climb to the ridgeline at an altitude of 1,100 meters to watch the sunrise over the sea of ​​clouds. (The round trip is about 4 kilometers, with a total climb of 400 meters, making it a bit more challenging.)

You can also take a short nap, then go to the village head and buy a freshly baked Jinyun pancake, which is particularly famous locally. The skin is thin and tender, and tastes better than the filling. It is worth coming to Jinyun.

We packed our luggage and headed along the ancient road to the east of the village. In front of us, we saw a towering mountain with rugged rocks. A waterfall was cascading from the gap on the top of the rock, which was magnificent. The name of the mountain was "Bai Zhang Yan", which was steep and majestic.

Passing through Yanbei Village, we admired the pristine natural landscape and experienced the beauty and vicissitudes of historical relics, and then continued along the dirt road in the forest down the mountain.

We arrived at Hengxi Town in Xianju for lunch.

Hiking: Today's hike is about 10km downhill, mainly on a dirt road through the forest. No supplies are provided along the way. (The ridgeline for sunrise viewing is about 4km round trip, with a steep climb. Please bring a light, knee pads, and trekking poles!)

2-3 days before the event, we will decide whether the event will proceed as scheduled based on the weather forecast and route conditions. Please pay attention to our notifications. Most outdoor activities can proceed as usual even with light rain. Rainy days also have their own fun. If heavy rain is forecast, the event will be cancelled and a full refund will be given to everyone.

Is this route crowded?

Most of our routes are natural and niche, with relatively small traffic. Of course, it also depends on the registration situation for each period. Generally, ordinary models are 37-seat buses, and there are also large models with 53 seats. Each car has a certain proportion of tour leaders to ensure the quality of the event.

Yanxia Village, nestled at the origin of the Kuacang Mountain Range in Zhejiang Province, borders Xianju to the east and Pan'an to the north, 15 kilometers from Huzhen Town in Jinyun County. Nestled in a secluded valley at an altitude of over 600 meters, a stone village known as Shitou Village remains intact. Founded in 1402, the third year of the reign of Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty, Shitou Village is more accurately known as Yanxia Village, deriving its name from its location beneath the towering and precipitous Baizhang Rock. Nestled between mountains and water, Shitou Village is dotted and scattered, surrounded by lush bamboo and a sea of ​​mountain forests. Its density is balanced, its layout is clear and orderly, and its overall layout is well-organized. The unique and seamless stone houses, stone bridges, stone roads, and stone mills are constructed from simple, rustic materials.
