Yixing's "One Line Sky" Trail | 8km popular loop, a classic outdoor day trip

Day 1 Nanjing → Yixing → Nanjing

07:15

7:15-7:30 Gather and sign in at Exit 1 of Andemen Station, Nanjing Metro Line 1, when you see the yellow China-TravelNote flag.

07:30

Depart on time, with an introduction to the activities and team members, interactive games, and laughter all the way. Enjoy the beginning of the journey.

10:00

The troops gathered at the ancient village at the foot of Yixing Jihe Mountain and warmed up under the leadership of the team leader.

After resting, we started climbing. We went up the mountain from the path of the ancient village. Large tracts of nanmu bamboo, clinging to the rocks, were lush and tall, extending from the foot of the mountain to halfway up the mountain. We set off towards the "One Line Sky". The "One Line Sky" is a common stone feature among the famous mountains and peaks in my country. It is named because the blue sky can be seen through the gap between two walls like a line. The Yixing "One Line Sky" is a rectangular huge rock over 40 meters high and over 80 meters long. There is a gap in the middle that is barely enough for one person to go up and down. It is a "One Line Sky" about one meter wide and about ten meters high. It is now a brand new trail and you can freely walk through it and take pictures. We walked through the bamboo forest, passed the ancient village, walked along the mountain ridge, and overlooked the sea of bamboo in the clouds. (This activity is arranged in reverse)

4:00 PM

Arrive at the foot of the mountain and meet up with the bus for the return journey.

6:30 PM

Returning to the starting point in downtown Nanjing, everyone was reluctant to leave and looked forward to seeing you again at the next event!

Driving time: 2.5 hours

Hiking: The activity hike is about 8km, in a circular route, with a cumulative ascent of about 700 meters.

Located in Taihua Town, Yixing, at the junction of Jiangsu, Anhui, and Zhejiang provinces, Tiger Cave is a section of the Ninghang Ancient Road, which connects Yixing with Guangde, Anhui Province, and winds its way through a sea of bamboo. The mountainside Tiger Cave is just large enough for a tiger to hide. Above the Tiger Cave is a "slit in the sky" about one meter wide and ten meters high.
