Today is the meeting day. You will make your own way to Kunming Changshui Airport based on transportation options at your departure point. Upon arrival, a complimentary 24-hour airport pick-up service is provided. Your dedicated driver will then take you to your hotel for check-in. There will be no scheduled itinerary activities today, leaving you ample time to explore the hotel.

Recommended Itinerary/ Kunming City Walk

If you arrive in Kunming early, we recommend the Explore Kunming City Walk . Explore Green Lake, attend the Military Academy, explore China's top ten campuses, and experience the autumn leaves at Southwest Associated University. Experience the vicissitudes of China's past through Kunming. This ancient city is filled with fascinating stories and a unique sense of the old streets.

Day 2 Kunming → Fuxian Lake → Jianshui Ancient City City Walk

丨Immersive Vacation/Overlooking the vast expanse of glazed waters by Fuxian Lake

After breakfast, we'll depart for Fuxian Lake, China's largest deep freshwater lake and the largest lake at the source of the Pearl River. Its waters are crystal clear, and the plateau breeze whips up vast expanses of emerald blue. The ancients called it "a vast expanse of glazed glass." We'll then proceed to the Luchong Scenic Area, where shimmering reeds and azure lakeside scenery await. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach or ascend Bijia Hill to overlook Fuxian Lake and experience the slow pace of life by the lake.

丨Jianshui City Walk/ Walking through the streets and alleys of the ancient city

Depart for Jianshui Ancient Town. Located on my country's southwestern border, Jianshui boasts a rich history and cultural heritage, boasting exquisitely preserved ancient architecture. Join a private guide for a guided tour of Jianshui's streets and alleys. Explore this ancient city, featured in shows like "A Bite of China," "Where Are We Going, Dad?" and "12 Tastes of Life." Discover the vibrant life of Jianshui.

丨Exploring Yunnan: Grilled tofu around a stove and savoring Jianshui's specialties

Throughout the streets and alleys of Jianshui Ancient City, roasted tofu can be found everywhere. From the east gate to the west gate, walk to the Daban Well, a well known for its sweet, flavorful water. Tofu cooked with this water has a unique fragrance, one of the secrets of Jianshui's fame. Like the locals, several people sit on small benches around a small brazier, topped with an iron rack, to roast the tofu. The square inches of tofu are roasted to a tantalizing golden brown, a truly enticing sight.

The hotel, a replica of a traditional Qing Dynasty residence with three courtyards, is located on the shores of Guangci Lake in Jianshui County. This "Jianchuan Woodcarving Complex," which took six years to complete, embraces the essence of "home" as the core of its service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all travelers.

Day 3 Jianshui (Trail) → Honghe → Kangteng Honghe Valley Camp

丨Meter-gauge train/Travel through Jianshui's century-long history

After breakfast, we set off for Jianshui's meter-gauge railway. Experience Jianshui's uniquely retro wooden train, which passes through and stops at scenic spots like Shuanglong Bridge. The vintage wall lamps, oscillating old fans, and French-style architecture at stops along the way transport us back to the early 20th century, when the railway was first completed.

丨Camp Specialty Meals/ Between the Red River Terraces on the Clouds

After arriving at the camp, enjoy a cloud-high tea among the terraced fields to wash away the fatigue of the day.

Dinner will be enjoyed at the camp's "Le Zongshe" restaurant. Of the original building, only a vine-covered wall remains. This is complemented by an outdoor dining area, offering a unique Hani rice terrace experience. Overlooking the rice terraces and infinity pool, this area offers one of the camp's most unique views.

Kangteng Red River Valley Tented Camp is nestled among the ruins of Shitou Village, nestled beside the Red River Hani Rice Terraces, a World Cultural Heritage Site. Built on the site of a village and overlooking the vast rice terraces, it offers a new kind of "archaeological exploration." Each guest room features a courtyard with a massage pool, and the tents are designed in a naturalistic style with complete bathroom facilities. Embark on a journey through the Ailao Mountains and the Red River Valley, and discover the ancient legends of the Hani people amidst the mist-shrouded rice terraces.

Notes: Note 1: The train will arrange soft seats. If the soft seats are sold out during holidays, hard seats will be arranged and the price difference will be refunded;

丨Terrace Hiking/Searching for the Ancient Legends of the Hani People

After breakfast, we'll head to the Yuanyang Rice Terraces. With a history spanning over 1,200 years, these vast terraces are a masterpiece of the Hani people, known as "China's Most Beautiful Mountain Sculpture." A private guide will lead you on a light hike through the terraces, exploring nature, discovering ancient Hani legends, and experiencing the essence of their farming culture.

丨Recommended camp experience activities

Bamboo weaving/hand-pounded glutinous rice cakes/embroidery/fishing in rice paddies

[Handmade Spring Rice Cake (included in the price)] The activity takes place outside the Zaza Festival House every afternoon. The activity lasts about 30-40 minutes. You can enjoy the glutinous rice cake on site.

[Catching rice paddies, bamboo weaving/embroidery handicrafts, etc. (not included)] Reservations are required in advance and the activity lasts 60-90 minutes

丨 Courtyard pool & book reading, camp vacation experience

All tent courtyards at the campsite are equipped with hot springs. The infinity pool is 1.4 meters deep and designed in the form of terraced fields, blending naturally into the surrounding landscape.

You can also visit the mini library "Zaza": it was converted from an abandoned water pipe station next to the terraced irrigation canal in the village, and offers a panoramic view of the terraced scenery.

Samaba Rice Terraces/ The world's largest rice terraces

Samaba Rice Terraces—The world's largest Samaba Rice Terraces (10,000 mu, Guinness World Record), boasting over 4,300 terraces, is the largest and most concentrated of the Red River Rice Terraces. Larger and less crowded than the Yuan Dynasty rice terraces, Samaba Rice Terraces are renowned for their grand scale, flowing lines, and distinct tiers, rising from foot to summit, reaching over 3,000 steps and creating a magnificent spectacle.

丨Farewell on the disbanding day/Looking forward to seeing you again next time

Your wonderful journey is almost over. We will transfer you to Kunming Changshui International Airport according to your flight schedule. If you need to return to your home city from Kunming Airport on the same day, we recommend booking a flight after 3:00 PM. If you are staying in Kunming, we will transfer you to your hotel.
