This itinerary is for independent travel without a tour guide. The following plan is for reference only:

Due to the winter schedule adjustment at Huangshan Scenic Area, the meeting time on the day will be no later than 2:00 PM. After arriving at the starting point of Huangshan, if you choose to take the cable car up the mountain, please do so no later than 3:00 PM, and if you choose to hike up the mountain, please do so no later than 4:00 PM. Please be advised that the Tiandu Peak Scenic Area and the Xihai Grand Canyon Scenic Area will be closed from December 31st to March 1st in winter.

Today, you will need to arrive at the Huangshan Scenic Area South Gate Transfer Point on your own and transfer to the Upward Scenic Bus (included in the price) to reach the upper entrance of the mountain. If you have any large items that are inconvenient to carry, you can store them at the transfer center (at your own expense).

We have booked a one-way upward cable car (the default priority is the Yungu Cable Car. If you need to go up the mountain, please contact customer service in advance). Please be advised! ! !

The following itinerary is a guide for first-time Huangshan visitors. It ascends the back mountain and descends the front mountain, saving energy while also not missing any of the highlights. If you ascend the front mountain (by going up the Yuping Cableway) and descend the back mountain (by going down the Yungu Cableway), the order is reversed. Generally speaking, the paths in the Beihai and Xihai scenic areas are gentler, while the paths in the Tianhai and Yuping scenic areas are steeper.

The itinerary time arrangement is for reference only and is not an actual requirement:

13:00 Transfer to the scenic shuttle bus (about 20 minutes) to arrive at the cable car entrance, take the Yungu cable car up the mountain, overlooking the Eighteen Arhats facing the South China Sea, and admire the steepness of Huangshan

Arrive at Huangshan Mountain at 14:00 and visit Shixin Peak (1683m above sea level). This is the first time you will see the wonders of Huangshan. You won't see Huangshan pines unless you visit Shixin Peak. This area is home to many of Huangshan's famous pines: Harp Pine, Black Tiger Pine, Twin Pine, Dragon Claw Pine, etc. Stroll to Beihai Scenic Area. On the way, you can see the Monkeys Watching the Sea and the Dream Brush Blooming Flowers. Visit the highlights of Beihai Scenic Area.

16:30 Arrive at the mountaintop hotel and check in (in order of arrival: Beihai Hotel, Shilin Hotel, Xihai Hotel, Paiyun Hotel), take a short break and continue exploring the Xihai Scenic Area.

5:00 PM: At the summit of Danxia Peak (1,700m above sea level) in Xihai Scenic Area, we awaited a spectacular sunset. The sunset glow spread across the peaks, creating a fairyland. Overlooking Feilai Rock and the countless hikers, this was also a beautiful sight.

18:00 Enjoy dinner at your own leisure on the top of the mountain. Transportation is inconvenient and supplies are scarce. Prices are much higher than at the foot of the mountain. If the weather is good, don't miss the starry night view of Huangshan. The moon is bright and the stars are in the sky. Enjoy this peaceful and romantic moment.

Hiking: Please refer to the Huangshan tourist map

Huangshan, located in southern Anhui Province, was formerly known as Yishan and renamed Huangshan in the Tang Dynasty. It is now part of Huangshan City. The Huangshan Scenic Area, hailed as a national treasure and a wonder of the world, has become a symbol of the Chinese nation's magnificent landscape. Its three main peaks—Lotus, Bright Summit, and Heavenly Capital—all rise over 1,800 meters above sea level. Huangshan combines the grandeur of Mount Tai, the precipitousness of Mount Hua, the misty clouds of Mount Heng, the cascading waterfalls of Mount Lu, the intricate rocks of Yandang, and the beauty of Mount Emei. It is particularly renowned for its four unique features: unusual pines, grotesque rocks, seas of clouds, and hot springs. Huangshan is a first-tier national key scenic spot and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990.
