[Seasonal Guide for Crested Ibis Photography] Due to factors such as season, weather, environment, and bird conditions, the recommended time for photographing Crested Ibis throughout the year is as follows:
Mid-March to early April - the peak season for bird photography. Birds are active, there are many species, and the bird conditions are very good. It can also be combined with spring scenery to capture different scenes such as spring rapeseed flowers, pear blossoms, cherry blossoms, spring plowing, etc.!
Early April to mid-May is the peak season for bird photography. You can capture scenes of birds breeding, raising chicks, and flying in groups in late spring and early summer. You can also see seasonal birds such as the Blue-throated Sunbird and the brightly colored Golden Pheasant. The rural scenery is beautiful!
Late May to late June is the peak season for bird photography. You can capture scenes of birds breeding, raising chicks, and flying in groups in early summer. There are also seasonal sights such as ribbon diving. It is relatively off-peak, with fewer people and beautiful scenery. It is a good time to find a quiet place to relax and unwind!
July-August - the off-season for bird photography. Crested Ibis and Golden Pheasants begin to molt, and their feathers are not as bright and beautiful as in other months. It is relatively hot and the birds are tired. You can choose a more suitable time to shoot!
Mid-September to early October - the peak season for bird photography. The countryside is filled with the fragrance of flowers and fruits in early autumn, and birds begin to become more active again. This is a relatively small time and suitable for photography!
Mid-to-late October to mid-to-early November is the peak season for bird photography. Birds are extremely active, their feathers are bright, their chicks grow up, and flocks of birds fly frequently. In addition, the charming autumn colors in the Qinling Mountains and the colorful forests add to the charm of creation!
Mid-to-late November to the end of February - the off-season for bird photography. The weather is relatively colder and there will be some snowfall. You can photograph the Crested Ibis resting on the branches, which adds a more bleak feeling. The birdlife is relatively quiet, and we are waiting for next spring!

After getting up early, the photography teacher led everyone to the shooting spot. The main subject of today's shooting was still the Crested Ibis. There were not only shooting sessions in the birdhouse but also in the fields.
Seeing crested ibises in the wild is truly breathtaking. Their flight, cuddling, and playful playfulness are all perfect for snapping photos! You can also use a slow shutter speed to capture the dynamics of crested ibises as they fly across the fields! The on-site guidance of our photography instructor will ensure you capture truly unique crested ibises!
Special reminder: Birds' living habits and environments may change with the seasons. Please arrange your photos based on the specific conditions of the day and keep a normal mind.
We've arranged two studio bird photography sessions for you: one with the Crested Ibis and one with the Golden Pheasant. It was a blast! You'll be able to create stunning photos in no time!
The specific studio shooting time will be arranged according to the specific weather and bird conditions of the entire trip.

Day 3 Full day bird photography base
All day
We set off early, focusing today on photographing the famous local species of rare birds, including the Golden Pheasant, Ibis, Egret, and Heron. The Ibis is a water bird native to Asia's higher altitudes. It's a rare endemic resident and vertical migrant, named for its bill, which resembles that of the Crested Ibis. It prefers rocky, fast-flowing streams and rivers, using its long bill to forage for small fish, shrimp, and mollusks. It's confined to clear mountain streams, and its habitat is quite demanding. Many birds you won't be able to photograph elsewhere can be photographed here, allowing you to capture both precious photos and learn a great deal about birds!
Special reminder: Birds' living habits and environments may change with the seasons. Please arrange your photos based on the specific conditions of the day and keep a normal mind.

Day 4 Bird Photography Base → Yangxian West Railway Station
All day
Today's shooting schedule is free to choose. Photographers whose previous shots weren't ideal due to weather or other factors can continue photographing Crested Ibis, Cattle Egrets, Pond Herons, or Night Herons. You can arrange your shoot the night before, and the photographer will coordinate the shoot. With luck, you might even capture the fascinating symbiosis between cattle egrets and buffaloes. Cattle egrets perch on the buffalo's backs, preying on parasites and insects disturbed by the buffalo's movements. The buffalo, in turn, relies on the egrets to repel flies and insects, while the egrets act as guard dogs. Typically, one cattle egret perches on the buffalo's back, sometimes two, one on the left and one on the right. If a third egret attempts to join the group, the first two will work together to chase it off.
After finishing the photo shoot and lunch, we left the bird photography base and arrived at Yangxian West Railway Station at about 2:30 pm, ending our trip to photograph the crested ibis!
If there is no suitable train, you can communicate with customer service and arrange an additional car to go to the train station.
