Legend of the Ancient Trail | One-Day Hike on the Qingyuan Qin and Han Dynasty Ancient Trail

Day 1 Guangzhou → Shuikou Village → Guangzhou

07:30 Check in at Kecun Exit B (Line 3 & Line 8);

08:00 Depart on time. In the car, we will introduce ourselves to each other, introduce the attractions, interact with each other, and start a journey worth remembering with joyful songs.

11:00 Arrive at Shuikou Village, make some food supplies first (you can AA group meals nearby or bring your own meals), and start hiking after lunch and warming up.

The main part of the Shuikou Ancient Trail is hidden in the sparsely populated karst mountains. The entrance is also behind the residential buildings. After climbing halfway up the mountain, you can overlook the scenery of the Shuikou Lianjiang Gallery.

From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, continue your ascent, admiring the myriad karst landscapes along the way. Explore the ancient camphor trees, ancient stone gates, and the Stone Forest, the largest contiguous Yangshi Forest discovered in Guangdong. Hiking along this section of the Qin and Han Dynasty Trail, you'll encounter old villages nestled among the jungle, their ruined walls and broken tiles reflecting a timeless history. Occasionally, you'll spot idyllic mountain homes, curling with smoke, and even docile-looking cattle and sheep. Experience the tranquility, nature, and harmonious rural life as you hike.

From 15:00 to 16:30, the second half of the hike will pass by a giant camphor tree struck by lightning, and then the hike comes to an end.
