Heyuan Rock Climbing | Challenge, Yuewang Mountain Via Ferrata

Day 1 Guangzhou → Via Ferrata Base → Guangzhou

Meet at Exit B of Ke Village. Please look for the yellow China-TravelNote sign.

09:00

Depart on time. The team leader will explain the itinerary and precautions to everyone in the car, and lead everyone to play ice-breaking games, and laugh all the way to Zijin County.

11:00

Arrive at the farm restaurant around 12pm and have a meal of local specialties. After lunch, head to the Yuewang Mountain Via Ferrata base.

12:30

Arrive at the scenic area at 12:30 and hike to the via ferrata entrance. The tour leader distributes tickets to everyone, takes a group photo, and puts on equipment under the guidance of the instructor. After listening to the safety precautions for the via ferrata activity, everyone lines up in an orderly manner to start the climb. Please pay attention to your phone and experience the thrill of flying over the eaves and walls. (The via ferrata takes about 1.5 hours. If you don't want to do it, you can hike on the hiking trails in the scenic area.)

3:00 PM

After the via ferrata, we started our light hike in Yuewang Mountain. Follow the guide.

5:00 PM

Gather at the entrance of the scenic spot and return to Guangzhou. Arrive in Guangzhou around 19:30, ending the day's self-challenge trip. See you next time at the Tourists Arena.

Driving time: about 2 hours one way

Hiking: The hiking section in the scenic area is about 5 km, and the hiking time is about 2.5 hours.

Note: The via ferrata is 420 meters long and over 100 meters high. It lasts 1.5 hours. Flat sneakers or hiking shoes are required. (Those afraid of heights are prohibited from riding the via ferrata.)

2. Lada Tips


1. When climbing, be sure to stick close to the rock wall. This is both safe and labor-saving.

2. The thighs are much stronger than the arms, so rely more on the strength of the thighs.

3. Look at the route, think about where you will go next, and then move your hands and feet to the corresponding points.

4. Via Ferrata is different from ordinary rock climbing. If you want to rest during the journey, just pay attention to your feet.

Yuewang Mountain is located on the banks of the Dongjiang River in Guzhu Town, Jiangdong New District, Heyuan City, adjacent to the Dongjiang River. It covers an area of ​​two square kilometers. The highest peak is 340 meters above sea level and is a Danxia landform.

The Sky Via Ferrata in Yuewang Mountain Scenic Area is built on the cliff next to Yuewangtou in the scenic area. It is 420 meters long and has a climbing height of more than 100 meters. It consists of several sub-projects such as the Sky Bridge, Hanging Coffin Plank Road, Tibetan Bridge, Cliff Ladder, and Suspension Plank Road.
