Today is the gathering day. Tourists from all over the country are requested to go to Guiyang Longdongbao Airport according to their own transportation methods. We will arrange to pick you up and take you to your hotel in Leishan County, Qiandongnan. If your flight is later than the gathering time, you can also choose to take the high-speed train to Kaili South Station (Guiyang-Kaili train takes about 40 minutes). We will provide 24-hour free airport pick-up service.

丨Encountering Longtang Village/Targeted Poverty Alleviation and Miao Folk Customs
The village where Longtang Mountain House is located is Longtang Miao Village. Here, terraced tea fields and forests shrouded in mist, and wooden stilt houses perched on cliffs, it's a true paradise. Amidst this beautiful scenery, it remained an impoverished village until 2018. However, thanks to targeted poverty alleviation policies and support from public welfare foundations, Longtang has now transformed into a model for rural revitalization. We'll explore the village and experience a variety of Miao-inspired activities, such as [fishing in rice fields, handmade glutinous rice cakes, and intangible cultural heritage tie-dyeing], to preserve the authentic Miao culture and beautiful lifestyle.
丨Miao Thousand Households Village/Enter the Real-Life Spirited Away
Xijiang is to Guizhou what Lijiang is to Yunnan. The Xijiang Thousand Household Miao Village bears witness to the entire history of the Miao people, resembling a vast ecological museum. Upon arrival at the Miao village, you'll experience the unique Miao welcome ceremony at the entrance: the "gate-blocking" ceremony, featuring flowing mountain water and twelve rounds of wine (fixed time: 10:30 AM or 4:30 PM, depending on the scenic area). Then, transfer to a VIP luggage vehicle to enter the scenic area. The "Xi" clan Miao people live in a cluster of villages nestled against the mountainside. Miao wooden stilt houses are stacked layer upon layer on the hillside, and the coffee-colored old houses nestle against the emerald green mountains. The Baishui River divides the village into two. We've specially arranged a Miao Village Walk Experience. Join a guide to learn about the Miao people's history, including clothing, food, housing, transportation, festivals, marriage, and art. After breakfast, we'll depart for Danzhai, a small town in western Qiandongnan Prefecture. We'll visit the "Hometown of Chinese Paper," nestled amidst lush green mountains and rivers. Here, traditional papermaking techniques have been passed down since the Tang Dynasty. With over 10 steps, including retting, slurrying, and boiling, it boasts a history of over 2,000 years and is considered a living fossil. We'll also learn to make natural floral paper using the traditional techniques described in "The Exploitation of the Works of Nature," under the guidance of our instructor, continuing this heartwarming artisanal spirit.
丨Hidden Paradise Village/A small Dong village deep in the mountains
After lunch, we'll continue our journey, reaching the idyllic Dali Dong Village, nestled deep in the mountains of Rongjiang County. This small, 600-year-old Dong village, with its largely untouched traditional culture, boasts a rich tapestry of tradition, ethnicity, intangible cultural heritage, nature, and architecture. Led by local elders, we'll explore the village, where five Dong wind and rain bridges connect the villages on both sides. The ancient stone paths, built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, and the Dong courtyards, along with the unique ancient grain drying granaries, drum towers, and ancient wells, create a harmonious and harmonious scene of human and nature, a scene of "harmony between man and nature."

Ancient wooden buildings, rivers and wells, and terraced fields all reflect the harmony of an old way of life. "Jingshang B&B," a new boutique hotel designed by ATLAS Studio, aims to anchor itself within the village's simple and austere lifestyle. The project's challenge lay in finding ways to update traditional architectural methods with contemporary amenities and an evolved design, without losing the integrity of Dali Village's traditional roots.

Today, we'll begin by visiting Lanlan, a local artisan known for her "ordinary yet legendary" talents. She's ordinary because she's a post-85s college graduate from an ordinary village; legendary because she chose to return to her hometown to cultivate traditional Dong cloth, leading her fellow villagers to prosperity and earning recognition and coverage on CCTV and other media outlets. Her studio, a traditional Dong wooden house nestled in a picturesque setting by the mountains and water, will explore the role of various natural herbs in the making of Dong cloth. We'll also personally harvest plants for a "rubbing dyeing" experience, creating our own scarf or T-shirt – a truly delightful and local experience.
丨The First Village of Dong Village/Hometown of Drum Towers and Rustic Countryside
After lunch, we'll visit Zhaoxing Dong Village, the Guinness World Record-winning Drum Tower Village, to admire the legacy of generations of the Dong people. This place is rich in ethnic charm. The pagoda-shaped drum towers pierce the sky, their eaves arching like cranes perched on the steps, wings spread wide, ready to take flight. These towers bear witness to history, documenting the simple life and leisurely years of the Dong village. In the evening, there's a Dong folk song performance at the singing field. Join us as the cicada-like chirping flows through the village streets like a spring.

Today, we'll experience a hike through the Tang'an Rice Terraces, one of China's seven most beautiful hiking routes. After breakfast, we'll depart for Tang'an Dong Village, a joint venture between China and Norway that houses the Dong Ecological Museum. Unlike other museums, the entire village and its surroundings are a true museum, surrounded by verdant mountains, peaks, and terraced rice paddies, a true example of humanity's return to nature. After touring the village, we'll descend along the ancient trail, traversing the vibrant terraces of varying shades of color, walking along moss-covered stone steps, gazing at the elderly resting under a wind and rain bridge in the distance, and immersing ourselves in the pristine beauty of the countryside.
丨Transform into a local/visit ordinary Dong people's homes
In Zhaoxing, we will arrange for everyone to experience the [Dong Home Visit] activity. Follow the footsteps of the local guide, visit the homes of fellow villagers, learn a few words of the Dong language, make special fried oil tea, taste the special food that is indispensable to the Dong people in their daily life, feel the unique hospitality of the Dong people, and the Dong culture on your tongue, and be an ordinary Dong person for a day.

If you need to depart from Guiyang Airport that day, we recommend booking a flight after 4:00 PM. If you're staying in Guiyang, we will transport you to your hotel.
