Arrive at Ganquan Service Area for a rest. You can have lunch at the service area by yourself. You can also bring some food to share with others.

We arrived at Jingbian's "Longzhou Danxia", commonly known as Wave Valley, where we photographed the Danxia landforms and fully appreciated the wonders hidden in this old revolutionary base area.

Hidden on the edge of the Maowusu Desert in northern Shaanxi, at the same latitude as the renowned Wave Valley in Arizona, the western United States, this scenic spot, also known as the "Jingbian Red Sandstone Canyon," is the most typical and largest Danxia landform in China's arid regions. It is one of the "50 Scenic Spots of the Yellow River in China," showcasing the diverse historical relics, natural scenery, and vibrant folk customs along the Yellow River. Its unique geology and striking appearance are known as the "Wave Valley Wonder of China." Entering this pristine environment is like stepping back in time, interpreting Earth's history and experiencing the vivid traces of 100 million years of crustal movement.

We set off for a small town at the junction of Jingbian County and Wushen Banner. We stayed overnight in Henan Township, concluding our first day of itinerary. We had a good night's sleep.
Day 2 Henan Township → Sancha River → Kangjiagou Bay → Milanggou Bay → Shaojiagou Bay + Fanjiagou Bay → Hetao Man Site → Henan Township

After packing up our equipment, we started hiking and took a bus to the starting point of the hike, "Sancha River". Today is the highlight of this trip, hiking in the Grand Canyon, occasionally walking through the deserts on both sides. At noon, we took a break and had lunch at Milanggou Bay, or we could bring our own food. It was our first experience of the desert canyon, and the difficulty was moderate. There was a desert above the canyon and a winding river below the canyon. Walking on both sides of the river, you could see a different scene with every step, feel the wonders of the frontier, and appreciate the wonders of nature.

Arriving at the end of the hike, the Hetao Man Ruins, the bus was waiting for us. We returned to Henan Township in the evening, concluding the day's journey. As night fell, we sat around the campfire and chatted about everything under the sun.

After packing up our gear, we started hiking, with a final nostalgia, continuing our journey through the canyon in the morning.
Today's hike was a bit easier than yesterday's. We broke camp early in the morning and started hiking. Today's itinerary was different from yesterday's. We were in the canyon all day and there was no sun at all. There were small springs at the bottom of the mountain along the way, so we didn't need to bring too much water. We tried to get to Milanggou Bay as early as possible in the morning and rested for a while at Milanggou Bay.

Arriving at the end of this hike, the distant beauty of the desert also brought us back to the track of normal life, officially ending this activity, and returning home with satisfaction. After packing up all the equipment, we drove to Jingbian County and had a simple meal and started to return to Xi'an
