Little Lushan Mountain in Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province, Four Seasons Moganshan Sword Pond Waterfall, and the Republic of China Villa Complex

Day 1 Hangzhou → Moganshan → Jianggong Road → Hangzhou

All day

Meet at Exit F of Huanglong Sports Center Subway Station between 7:30 and 8:00 to sign in.

We got on the bus and set off on time at 8:00. On the way, the team members introduced themselves to each other, entertained each other in the car, laughed and talked all the way, and unknowingly approached the destination.

We arrived at the starting point at 9:30 AM. After a quick warm-up, we ascended the Moganshan mountainside, hiking the Jianggong Road. The path through bamboo forests and ancient paths offered breathtaking views of the villages below. After a short rest at Naked Castle, we visited the B&B area, where a variety of buildings each held their own unique charm. We then headed through the B&B area to the Dakeng Scenic Area.

12:00 PM Arrived at Strange Rock Corner and rested in the pavilion. There is a 270-degree viewing platform here, and the view of the rolling mountains is very pleasant. We had a picnic here at noon, and everyone brought out any delicious food to share.

At 12:45 PM, after lunch and a group photo, we set off for the Strange Rocks Corner Forest Hiking Loop on Tashan Mountain. Traversing the Zhonghua Mountain Historic Trail, we'll admire a variety of celebrity villas, hidden within the mountains, offering a unique sense of cultural interest.

At 2:00 PM, we descended to Luhuadang Park, crossed Yinshan Street, and arrived at Jianchi. Jianchi's perennial waterfall is very refreshing in the summer. We took photos here before descending.

Our descent will be a bit wild, with streams and bamboo forests along the way. It's time to show your team spirit and help each other out!

We arrived at the foot of the mountain at 4:30 PM. Along the Republican-era street, we found many small, fresh cafes, grocery stores, Yucun Square, and the Moganshan Post Office. Plane trees lined the road. We stopped and checked in, then met up with the bus for the return trip. The group of self-driving friends disbanded!

We will be back in Hangzhou around 18:00. Everyone is still reluctant to leave and kisses goodbye with tears in their eyes!!!

Driving distance: 70 km, 1.5 hours

Hiking: The whole journey is about 13 kilometers, with a total climb of about 600 meters, including ancient roads and scenic roads.

Mogan Mountain, located in Deqing County, Zhejiang Province, is a branch of Tianmu Mountain. Legend has it that this is where Gan Jiang and Moye forged their swords. Its main peak, Tashan, rises 758 meters above sea level and boasts breathtaking scenery. Known as the "Cool World" and the "First Mountain in Jiangnan," it is considered one of China's four major summer resorts, along with Beidaihe, Lushan, and Jigongshan. With a history of over 2,000 years, Mogan Mountain boasts unique natural landscapes, with a vegetation coverage rate of 92%. The mountain is dotted with bamboo forests, towering Japanese firs and Song Dynasty ginkgo trees, and cascading springs and waterfalls. Mogan Mountain is prone to rain and fog, and the post-rain fog is truly breathtaking. The entire mountainside below is engulfed in clouds, with the summit of Tashan floating above the clouds, like an island in the sea or a castle in the sky, ethereal and ethereal, resembling a fairyland.

Moganshan's central scenic area includes Tashan, Zhonghuashan, Jinjiashan, Wujishan, Moganling, and Paotaishan, offering views of sunrises, seas of clouds, waterfalls, and springs. Moganshan boasts a rich and diverse cultural landscape, and during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was known as a "water village and Buddhist kingdom." Hundreds of villas built in the late Qing and early Republic periods, nestled amidst lush bamboo forests, create a tranquil atmosphere, earning it the nickname "World Architecture Museum."
