Day 2 Xi'an Hotel → City Wall → Small Wild Goose Pagoda → Big Wild Goose Pagoda → Tang Dynasty City

All day

After breakfast, we took advantage of the morning breeze and climbed the 600-year-old [city wall]

Xi'an's Ming Dynasty City Wall stretches 13.74 kilometers. Stroll along the wall to learn about the city's past, overlooking the city. Take a photo with the quaint Ming City Wall and learn about the layout and history of Chang'an during the Tang Dynasty. Nine gatehouse seals can be stamped on the wall, and with luck, you might even receive a city wall amulet.

Afterwards, we headed to the quiet Little Wild Goose Pagoda.

The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is one of three surviving Tang Dynasty structures in Xi'an and a component of the Silk Road UNESCO World Heritage Site. Since its construction in the Tang Dynasty, the pagoda has been shrouded in legends, including the mythical "three openings and three closings" attributed to the Guanzhong earthquake, and daring speculations about the hidden secrets of its underground palace.

Special Experience | Wild Goose Pagoda Morning Bell

It was morning, and after listening to the stories about the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, we also went to experience the Wild Goose Pagoda Morning Bell, one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Guanzhong". The clear bell sound and the beautiful tower shadow together with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda constitute part of the Silk Road World Heritage.

After lunch, we will go to the Silk Road World Heritage Site [Big Wild Goose Pagoda/Da Ci'en Temple] to listen to the story of Xuanzang's journey to the West to seek Buddhist scriptures, and take a group photo at a great camera.

Xuanzang, upon his return from his pilgrimage to the West, translated Buddhist scriptures here and founded the Yogacara school. Hear about Xuanzang's journey along the Silk Road. The long tradition of inscribing poems on the Big Wild Goose Pagoda has left a rich legacy of literary influence. Are there any familiar figures or poems here?

As the sun sets, we will take you to the Tang Dynasty City that never sleeps. After dinner, you can have fun and watch performances in the Tang Dynasty City that never sleeps.

Driving distance: 50 km, 1.5 hours

Day 3 Xi'an → Terracotta Warriors → Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor → Mount Hua

All day

After breakfast, we drove to [Terracotta Warriors Pits 1/2/3] to decipher the "underground army" that Qin Shi Huang built for himself.

The Terracotta Army, one of the first batch of Chinese World Heritage Sites and a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Site, is known worldwide as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." What secrets are hidden in the underground palace built by Qin Shi Huangdi to unify the country? How can we see the Qin Dynasty from underground? How were such gigantic terracotta warriors actually fired? These questions will be answered here. Don't forget to bring your notebook today! The Terracotta Army seals are super cool!

After lunch, we went to the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, which 90% of tourists would miss, to see the super-high-grade bronze chariots and horses unearthed and Qin Shi Huang's acrobatic troupe.

The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor is the first imperial mausoleum in Chinese history. Its vast scale and rich burial objects rank among the largest of all imperial mausoleums. Designed to ensure Qin Shihuang's continued prosperity and wealth after death, the mausoleum is modeled after the Qin capital of Xianyang, forming a roughly circular U-shaped structure. Due to limited archaeological technology, the mausoleum has yet to be excavated. Visitors can only see a towering tomb surrounded by peaks, seamlessly integrated with Mount Li.

The Bronze Chariot and Horse Exhibition Hall features the highest-ranking bronze chariot and horse artifacts unearthed in China. Previously housed in the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Exhibition Hall, they were removed and largely missed. They not only recreate the grandeur of Qin Shi Huang's imperial carriage, but also showcase the ancient chariot and horse harnesses and the exquisite craftsmanship of the ancients. They exemplify the advancement of science and technology after Qin Shi Huang unified China. This is the most complex and massive ancient bronze artifact discovered in 20th-century archaeology.

[Baixi Terracotta Pit] Due to Xiang Yu's immense hatred for the Qin Dynasty, the Baixi Terracotta Pit was completely destroyed. However, with the advancement of archaeological technology, the Baixi Terracotta Pit has gradually revealed its true appearance. This "underground acrobatic entertainment team" not only reveals the Qin Dynasty's court entertainment and superb acrobatics, but also subverts the history of Chinese sculpture.

This one-day in-depth experience will allow you to better understand the story of Qin Shi Huang and the Terracotta Warriors. Afterwards, we will head to Mount Huashan and check into the hotel.

Driving distance: 100 kilometers, 2 hours

Day 4: Mount Huashan → Camel Bell Legend → Xi'an

All day

We live at the foot of Mount Huashan, so we can avoid the peak crowds after breakfast, set off early, and avoid queuing. The cable car attractions are also off-peak for sightseeing.

Despite being lost to the world several times due to cableway issues, Mount Huashan undoubtedly remains the most scenic, precipitous, and climbable of the Five Great Mountains. Not only is it known for its granite block peaks, known as "the most treacherous mountain in the world," but it's also home to legends like the Huashan Sword Contest and Emperor Taizu of Song's discussion of Taoism. For the brave, you can even experience a true aerial walkway at the Yaozi Flip and Changkong Plank Roads. These foot-wide trails continue to attract enthusiasts from both home and abroad.

Huashan has multiple cable car routes, so we can't predict everyone's needs. You can choose to go up and down the mountain by cable car according to your physical condition. (The itinerary includes Huashan tickets, but does not include round-trip cable car, shuttle bus, and the tour guide will not accompany you up the mountain. The tour guide will help you buy tickets for the cable car and shuttle bus, so don't worry.)

After the meeting, we will wait for you at a fixed location (the guide will inform you of the meeting place during the group)

Special Experience | Watch the award-winning "Legend of the Camel Bell" performance from a mobile auditorium and experience a Silk Road journey. (Legend of the Camel Bell will be suspended from January to February and replaced by "Xi'an Eternal Love").

The story begins in Chang'an, where a group of young men, forced by life's demands, bid farewell to their loving mothers and wives to lead a camel caravan to explore the Silk Road. The one-hour performance is packed with captivating moments, featuring breathtaking scenes of real camels and wolves. The moving auditorium, the running performance, and this unmissable large-scale live action show will immerse you in the action.

Then take the bus back to Xi'an and transfer to the hotel

Driving distance: 150 kilometers, about 2.5 hours

Note: The Huashan Scenic Area is very large, and the cable car has limited carrying capacity. The cable car is also greatly affected by the weather. If the cable car is suspended, please be patient.

Day 5 Tang West Market Museum → Return to Fang → Airport transfer

All day

After breakfast, we will go to the Tang West Market Museum, which is a theme museum reflecting the commercial culture of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, the Silk Road culture and the history and culture of the West Market.

In the story of "The Longest Day in Chang'an", the people of Chang'an whom Zhang Xiaojing desperately protected, and their lives, can only be fully seen in the Tang West Market Museum. Archaeologists and cultural relics workers carried out scientific excavations, protection and management, and built a museum at the "Northeast Cross Street" site in the West Market, allowing this only remaining market type on the ancient Silk Road and a Tang Dynasty site that demonstrates market significance to survive.

【Once prosperous】

In the exhibition hall on the second floor, the West Market model sand table intuitively displays the layout of the nine-square grid and traces the customs of a corner of the 108 blocks of the Tang Dynasty. With such a scale and prosperity, the West Market must have been the largest and earliest commercial complex in ancient China.

Special Experience | Enjoy Authentic Xi'an Cuisine at Huifang on a CityWalk

Even though Huimin Street and Sajin Bridge, the hallmarks of the Hui Quarter, are now overrun with tourists, they remain essential destinations for locals seeking out Xi'an delicacies, albeit more discreetly. Following in the footsteps of these locals, we set out from the less-visited Dapiyuan. The narrow 400-meter street is dotted with Shaanxi favorites: Lao Li's mixed liver soup, Ma Zhigang oil cakes, Shijia steamed buns, Yizhenlou steamed buns, and Hua Nainai's sour plum soup—you'll want to cling to the wall when you leave.
