Day 2 Xi'an Hotel → Terracotta Warriors → Qin Wenhua Restaurant → Camel Bell Legend → Xi'an Hotel

All day

After breakfast, we will take a bus to the Terracotta Army of Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum to decipher the "underground army" that Qin Shi Huang formed for himself.

The Terracotta Army, one of the first batch of Chinese World Heritage Sites and a key national cultural relic protection site, is known worldwide as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." How many secrets are hidden in the underground palace built by Qin Shihuang to unify the country? How can one glimpse the Qin Dynasty from underground? How were such enormous terracotta warriors fired? These questions will be answered here.

At noon, we arranged a theme restaurant full of Qin culture for everyone, recreating the solemn ceremony of the Qin royal banquet.

Dining etiquette is meticulously crafted. Guests can dress in period costume, experience time travel, and play pitching pots before meals. A maid dressed in period costume will gracefully serve each dish while you listen to a ceremonial officer perform the Qin Dynasty's ceremonial rituals. Afterward, a maid will stamp your menu with the "Imperial Seal of the State." The lights will be lit, music will begin, and you can savor the delicious meal.

After lunch, we went to the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, which 90% of tourists would miss, to see the super-high-grade bronze chariots and horses unearthed and Qin Shi Huang's acrobatic troupe.

The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor is the first imperial mausoleum in Chinese history. Its vast scale and rich burial objects rank among the largest of all imperial mausoleums. Designed to ensure Qin Shihuang's continued prosperity and wealth after death, the mausoleum is modeled after the Qin capital of Xianyang, forming a roughly circular U-shaped structure. Due to limited archaeological technology, the mausoleum has yet to be excavated. Visitors can only see a towering tomb surrounded by peaks, seamlessly integrated with Mount Li.

The Bronze Chariot and Horse Exhibition Hall features the highest-ranking bronze chariot and horse artifacts unearthed in China. Previously housed in the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Exhibition Hall, they were removed and largely missed. They not only recreate the grandeur of Qin Shi Huang's imperial carriage, but also showcase the ancient chariot and horse harnesses and the exquisite craftsmanship of the ancients. They exemplify the advancement of science and technology after Qin Shi Huang unified China. This is the most complex and massive ancient bronze artifact discovered in 20th-century archaeology.

[Baixi Terracotta Pit] Due to Xiang Yu's immense hatred for the Qin Dynasty, the Baixi Terracotta Pit was completely destroyed. However, with the advancement of archaeological technology, the Baixi Terracotta Pit has gradually revealed its true appearance. This "underground acrobatic entertainment team" not only reveals the Qin Dynasty's court entertainment and superb acrobatics, but also subverts the history of Chinese sculpture.

Afterwards, we went to watch the award-winning "Legend of the Camel Bell" performance, and experienced a Silk Road journey in the moving auditorium (in case of cancellation, it will be replaced by "Xi'an Eternal Love").

The story begins in Chang'an, where a group of young men, forced by life's demands, bid farewell to their loving mothers and wives to lead a camel caravan to explore the Silk Road. The one-hour performance is packed with captivating moments, featuring breathtaking scenes of real camels and wolves. The moving auditorium, the running performance, and this unmissable large-scale live action show will immerse you in the action.

Afterwards, we will go to the old Xi'an people's food base [Sajin Bridge] to taste the authentic food of Xi'an people

Sajin Bridge is Xi'an's gourmet backyard. Unlike the commercial atmosphere of Muslim Street, the bustling local food and Huifang food culture here are all available in the night. We will disband here, and everyone can enjoy the delights of Xi'an cuisine to their heart's content. Afterwards, return to your hotel on your own.

Driving distance: 100 kilometers, 2 hours

Day 3 Xi'an → Xi'an Museum/Small Wild Goose Pagoda → Shadow Play at Shuyuanmen → Big Wild Goose Pagoda → Tang Dynasty City

All day

After breakfast, we will go to Xi'an Museum to restore the life of Chang'an City in the Tang Dynasty.

The Xi'an Museum and the Shaanxi History Museum were both designed by renowned architect Zhang Jinqiu. The museum's collection, themed "Ancient Capital Xi'an," showcases the city's transformation over the millennia, drawing on its collection of artifacts and history as the capital of 13 dynasties. Visitors can stand before a massive replica of Tang Dynasty Chang'an and learn about the unique designs and stories of the imperial city during that time.

Special Experience | Ring the "Yanta Morning Bell," one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Guanzhong, at the Small Wild Goose Pagoda

The Small Wild Goose Pagoda, the largest of the museum's collections, was built during the reign of Emperor Zhongzong of the Tang Dynasty. Located in Jianfu Temple in Chang'an, it housed Buddhist scriptures and images brought back from India by the eminent Tang monk Yijing. During the wars of the late Tang Dynasty, the temple was destroyed, leaving only the Small Wild Goose Pagoda intact. The Wild Goose Pagoda Morning Bell, one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Guanzhong, is also located here. Every morning, monks would ring the bell to announce the time, creating a clear, melodious sound and a towering beauty that stood proudly in the heart of the city. We have also recreated the beautiful scene of the Wild Goose Pagoda Morning Bell.

When you come to Xi'an, you can't miss the special opera shadow play. We will go to the Shuyuan Gate to make shadow puppets and watch shadow puppet shows.

Shaanxi shadow puppetry is a very ancient traditional opera art form in Shaanxi Province. During a performance, artists manipulate characters behind a white curtain while singing stories in Shaanxi's distinctive Wanwanqiang or Xianbanqiang styles, accompanied by percussion and string instruments, evoking a strong Qin Dynasty influence. The instructor will share the history of shadow puppetry and provide a hands-on experience of the puppetry production and performance process. This allows you to deeply engage with the art of shadow puppetry, perform your own handmade puppets, and take them home as a treasured art piece, creating a unique souvenir of your trip.

Next, we will go to the landmark buildings of Xi'an, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Da Ci'en Temple, which are also part of the World Heritage Silk Road.

Da Ci'en Temple is one of the three major translation centers in Chang'an. It was here that Xuanzang translated Buddhist scriptures after his journey westward, founding the Consciousness-Only School. Hear about Xuanzang's journey along the Silk Road.

At the same time, the tradition of writing inscriptions on the Big Wild Goose Pagoda has left behind the footprints of many literati and poets. Are there any figures or poems that you are familiar with?

As the sun sets, you can enjoy the performances in the Tang Dynasty City after dinner. The tour guide will provide you with a comprehensive guidebook with all the performance times, so you can enjoy the city without having to go back.

Then return to the hotel to rest.
