Fairy Mountain Adventure | From Jianglang Mountain to Sanqing Mountain, 4 Days, 3 Nights

Day 1 Nanjing → Longyou Grottoes → Quzhou

07:15

07:15-07:30 We gathered and signed in at Exit 1 of Andemen Station on Nanjing Metro Line 1, where we saw the yellow China-TravelNote flag.

07:30

Set off on time and laugh all the way.

12:30

We arrived at Longyou Grottoes (you need to bring your own lunch, which can also be purchased at the service area)

Entering a mysterious underground world, the grandeur and mystique of the subterranean world are both breathtaking and puzzling, earning it the nickname "The Ninth Wonder of the World" by locals. Theories abound, including tombs, military garrisons, stone quarries, and even extraterrestrial civilizations, with no definitive answer. Tourists are encouraged to let their imaginations run wild – what if it's truly as you describe?

4:30 PM

After the tour, we will drive to Quzhou City to arrange for accommodation. You can freely look for delicious food at night. There are still many places worth visiting in Quzhou at night, whether it is delicious food or night views, ancient city walls, and ancient streets. If you don’t feel tired, just continue to explore freely!

Driving time: about 5 hours

Day 2 Quzhou → Jianglang Mountain → Near Sanqing Mountain

08:00

After breakfast, we'll depart for Jianglang Mountain, a renowned World Heritage Site, in about an hour. Three massive rock formations (Langfeng, Yafeng, and Lingfeng) rise majestically from the earth, resembling a celestial wonderland from afar. From afar, you'll be mesmerized by these wondrous natural formations and marvel at the uncanny craftsmanship of nature. Marvel at Jianglang Mountain's breathtaking skylight, climb the stone steps (some sections require you to do so), and wind your way through the sheer cliffs, dangling beneath a chasm. The thrilling experience rivals the perils of Mount Huashan.

12:00

There is plenty of time for climbing today, so you can take your time and not rush. Friends who like photography can take more pictures.

Everyone can have lunch at Jianglang Mountain freely and bring their own food.

3:00 PM

Gather at the foot of the mountain and drive to the Sanqingshan Scenic Area. In the evening, you can have dinner and explore freely.

Driving time: about 2.5 hours

Day 3 Sanqingshan Full Day

07:30

Get up and have breakfast, then set off.

08:00

10:00

The Sanqingshan Classic Grand Loop starts with a visit to the Sunshine Coast, where a several-kilometer-long high-altitude plank road rises into the air.

12:00

Take out the dry food you brought with you and have a cloud-and-mist lunch. After the meal, continue your journey. After that, you will visit the Taoist holy land - Sanqing Palace Scenic Area, Ge Hong's alchemy site, Dragon and Tiger Hall, Feixiantai, etc., which allow tourists to deeply experience the Taoist culture. Then come to the West Coast Scenic Area, which is the high-altitude plank road - Xihai Plank Road, Guanyin Sending Children, Jade Girl Presenting Flowers, etc.

3:00 PM

The hike to the top of the mountain is optional based on your actual physical strength. The above itinerary is only a planning suggestion.
You will descend the mountain by yourself according to your travel speed and be transferred to the hotel for check-in. It is another beautiful end to a day in the mountains.

Jianglang Mountain is located in Shimen Town, Jiangshan City, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is famous for its magnificent "Three Rocks". Its high peaks and steep cliffs are extremely steep, and its shape resembles the Chinese character "川". It was highly praised by Xu Xiake, who praised it for its "strangeness, danger and magic".

Sanqingshan is a World Natural Heritage Site, a National Key Scenic Area, a National AAAA-level Tourist Area, a National Natural Heritage Site, a National Geopark, a National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base and a National Civilized Scenic Tourist Area Demonstration Site. It is located in the northeast of Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It is named because the three peaks of Yujing, Yuxu and Yuhua are so steep, which look like the three Taoist gods Yuqing, Shangqing and Taiqing sitting on the top of the mountain.
