Day 1 Shanghai → Huizhou Ancient City
All day
7:15-7:30 Gather at the designated location of China-TravelNote, sign in, and depart on time at 7:30.
7:30-13:00 The tour guide will introduce the itinerary and arrange interactions, with laughter and joy along the way
There may be traffic jams during holidays, so lunch will be provided at the service area. It is recommended that you bring your own snacks and drinks.
From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, we'll arrive in Huizhou City, She County. We'll visit Yuliang Dam, the Jiangnan Dujiangyan Irrigation System, stroll along the old streets, and then continue to Huizhou Ancient City. Here, we'll visit the Xuguo Stone Archway, a national treasure (the only eight-legged memorial archway in China), and explore Doushan Street, a hidden alleyway known as the "ancient wealthy district." The weathered gatehouses hold countless stories of Huizhou.
From 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, we'll arrive at Zhanqi Ancient Village for an immersive, culinary journey. A special "village banquet" is ready for guests to enjoy, and the rich flavors of the countryside permeate the air. Let's eat!
18:30-19:00 (the specific dance start time is determined by the weather and the number of people on that day) Wait for a fish lantern festival.
As night falls, the sounds of the crowds fill the air. Fish lanterns, dancing for eight hundred years, "swim" out of the ancient village's ancestral hall, accompanied by the lively sounds of gongs, drums, and firecrackers. The millennia-old village is instantly ablaze. The giant fish, twirling and swimming freely through the old streets, exudes a powerful appeal. Tourists' hearts are awakened, and they follow excitedly. Under the lights, their faces beam with joy, reflecting the authentic flavor of Chinese tradition. (Includes a DIY dancing fish lantern for each person.)
After the tour, we will take a bus to Tunxi City Hotel, check in, have a good rest, and start another wonderful journey tomorrow.
If traffic is severe, we will arrange to go directly to Zhanqi Village for a village banquet and experience the highlights of the itinerary
Day 2 Huizhou City → Wuyuan → Sanqingshan
All day
8:00 In the morning, after breakfast, we drove to [Wuyuan Huangling] to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the clear water river bay.
Huangling is a masterpiece of human culture, and its autumn sun-drying is a symbol of folk custom. Take a sightseeing cable car into Huangling Ancient Village, where dozens of ancient Hui-style dwellings are scattered across a valley with a hundred-meter drop. Every home features windows for natural light, and racks for drying produce. In spring, bamboo shoots and bracken are dried; in autumn, red peppers, rice, and soybeans are dried. This creates a masterpiece of folk customs that continues in an orderly manner year-round. Passing through the ancient village, you'll find some of China's most spectacular terraced rice fields. Walk across a glass cable bridge, then descend to admire the Wuyuan terraces in spring before returning to the ancient village via another cable bridge.
12:00 For lunch, we will have free time to eat at the food street in Huangling Scenic Area.
In the afternoon, we left the scenic area and checked into the hotel at the foot of Sanqing Mountain, making it convenient for our trip to Sanqing Mountain the next day.

Day 3 Sanqingshan Grand Loop →
All day
We woke up at 7:30 and had breakfast before setting off.
Around 9:00, we took the southern cable car up the mountain. Once there, we headed to our hotel and arranged our camping.
Around 10:00 AM, we set off lightly and took the Sanqingshan Classic Loop Route. First, we visited the Sunshine Coast, where a several-kilometer-long high-altitude plank road soared into the air.
Around 12:00, we will take out the dry food we brought with us and have a cloud-fog lunch. After the meal, we will continue our journey and visit the Taoist holy land - Sanqing Palace Scenic Area, Ge Hong's alchemy site, Dragon and Tiger Hall, Feixiantai, etc., which allow tourists to deeply experience the Taoist culture. Then we will come to the West Coast Scenic Area, which is the high-altitude plank road - Xihai Plank Road, Guanyin Sending Child, Jade Girl Presenting Flowers, etc. Energetic tourists can wait for the glorious sunset on the west coast here.
As Sanqing Mountain is located on a high ground, it is often shrouded in clouds and mist before and after rain, and there is a certain probability of heavy fog. Please keep calm and take things as they come when you go out for fun.
When the sunset faded, we returned to the hotel, had dinner, played mahjong, and truth or dare in the evening. We decided what to do, haha!!!
