Today is the gathering day. Tourists will go to Colombo International Airport (CMB) on their own. Upon arrival, we will provide a free pick-up service and drive to the Negombo hotel near the airport for check-in. If you arrive early, you can rest in the hotel and then explore the city of Negombo freely.

This itinerary includes a destination in Colombo, requiring you to book your own flight. Direct flights are available from Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Chengdu, and Kunming, all arriving at Colombo International Airport (code CMB). Sigriya Rock, the symbol of Ceylon's "Lion Kingdom," stands tall amidst the jungle. Once an ancient royal palace, it holds secrets of the ancient kingdom's battles for the throne. It's also a work of art, with enigmatic murals and a complex drainage system showcasing the unique style and exquisite craftsmanship of ancient Sri Lankan art. Departing from Sigiriya Rock, we journey south to Kandy, the cultural heart of central Sri Lanka and a world-renowned "holy city" for the Temple of the Tooth Relic. This sacred site, a symbol of Sri Lankan Buddhism, envelops you in a mysterious and solemn atmosphere. The air is filled with the lingering scent of incense and the sound of sutras, creating a scene where time seems to have stood still. 丨Visit Ella Town/ Embrace the mountains and harvest surprises

The train will stop at Ella, a town renowned for its hiking, alpine tea plantations, and waterfalls. Surrounded by mountains and lush greenery, it offers a tranquil and tranquil retreat. We'll visit the popular Sky Swing, enjoy lunch at the uniquely designed, award-winning Pool Club (optional), and soak in the splashes of Sri Lanka's longest waterfall, Ravana Falls. Jeep Safari/Unlocking your first SAFARI

As the first rays of sunlight filter through the treetops and dapple the grasslands, the earth gradually awakens, and the wildlife begins its daily routine. We'll enter Yala National Park by jeep, following a professional guide through vast grasslands and dense jungle. You'll hear the cheerful songs of various birds and the gentle breathing of wildlife in the distance. You might encounter elephants, which tend to feed near water sources or take leisurely strolls in the early morning hours. Or, if you're lucky, you might spot the elusive Ceylon leopard. The national park is also home to numerous wildlife, including crocodiles, peacocks, and sika deer. In this landscape, you'll not only appreciate the beauty of nature but also feel the vitality and energy of life.

丨Watching stilt fishing/The most unique fishing tradition in Lanka

The unique "standing fishing" technique, known as stilt fishing, is a traditional fishing method unique to Sri Lanka. Stilt fishermen are primarily found in the shallow waters of the southwest coast. Fishermen essentially wade to wooden stakes submerged in the seawater, climb atop, and sit on a simple wooden frame, setting up their fishing rods. Then, it's time to fish, targeting the sardines that swarm in the shallow waters. With a bit of luck, a fish might be hooked every minute. Bear in mind, their rods are unbaited, making this a truly remarkable feat.

Mirissa Beach/ Chasing the waves in the gentle sea breeze

Mirissa, one of the three major beaches on Sri Lanka's southern coast, boasts a coastline stretching over 1,000 kilometers, mint-blue and light blue layered waters, lush coconut groves, and undeveloped beaches, making it perfect for a slow-paced vacation. Check in at the internet-famous Coconut Hill View, play volleyball with local children, meet surfers, and watch the captivating sunset over the sea—it's not too much to relax.

丨Sea Train / Chasing the sea breeze and waves towards the north

After breakfast, we headed to the sea train, the same one featured in Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away." The train traveled north along the turbulent Indian Ocean, its tracks running along the fine sandy beach. At its closest point, it was only a meter away from the ocean, making it feel like it was "floating" on the surface. The vast Indian Ocean was visible outside the window, and the waves seemed to roll right at our feet. The awe-inspiring feeling was beyond words. (Note 5)

Sri Lanka is surrounded by the sea, making seafood a common sight on the dining table. But the crab is the most unforgettable delicacy for gourmets.
