丨Huitengxile Grassland/Nomadic Songs on the Alpine Grasslands

[Yeshebang VIP Package] Huanghuagou Tour with Ropeway, Train, Cart, and Grassland Show

After breakfast, we set off, enjoying the joyful journey of tourists from all over the country, chatting and introducing each other. We passed through the beautiful Windmill Grassland [Huitengxile], which means "cold plateau" in Mongolian. At over 1,800 meters above sea level, it boasts the spectacular weather of "snow in June and the dog days of summer," making it a rare escape from the summer heat in the Great Wall. Driving into the alpine meadows, the terrain gently undulates, the vistas are rich with layers, and the sight of dotted cattle and sheep, and majestic clouds, evokes a pastoral feeling in you. At noon, we arrived at [Huanghuagou], located in central Inner Mongolia. Home to over 300 plant species, including sedge grass, foxglove, and vein moss, it is one of the three best-preserved alpine meadows in the world.

丨Ulan Hada Volcano/Outdoor luxury at the foot of the volcano

The Ulan Hada Volcanic Group, a volcano 10,000 years old, and a starry sky 30,000 years old, were listed by China National Geographic in 2015. Over 30 volcanoes here are scattered across the grassland like beads, their flat terrain revealing their presence. It is one of China's grassland volcanoes, with one of its most recent eruptions occurring over 10,000 years ago. Driving along the highway, you can see the majestic volcanic cones from afar, with dark red volcanic rocks exposed.

Upon arrival, we'll set up camp at the foot of the volcano. Unpacking our outdoor equipment, we'll prepare for a "glamping" experience beneath the volcanoes. In the evening, we'll build a fire and enjoy a "volcano view hot pot" together. Afterward, we'll gaze at the stars and attempt to photograph the volcanic landscape.

With the launch of Black Myth: Wukong, the game's scenes have also become a hot topic in Shanxi. Today, we're taking a cultural tour of ancient Chinese architecture, wandering through every brick, every piece of wood, every mortise and tenon, and feeling the silent power of China!

[Yeshebang VIP Privileges] Specially arranged full-day Chinese-speaking tour guides will lead you to unlock the mysteries of Shanxi's ancient architecture!

丨Exploring the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda/ A thousand-year-old architectural wonder

For any lover of ancient architecture, visiting Shanxi should definitely include the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. It's the world's tallest and oldest existing pure wooden structure, and is considered one of the "Three Greatest Pagodas of the World," along with the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Construction began in 1056, and the pagoda boasts a history exceeding a thousand years. Brackets and mortise and tenon joints are the aesthetic link that binds this ancient structure together. While the pagoda is currently undergoing partial maintenance, and a slight tilt is visible to the naked eye, this doesn't prevent visitors from admiring and awe-inspiring it.

Hanging Temple at the Foot of Hengshan Mountain / A Millennium of Zen on the Cliff (Note 3)

The Hanging Temple, founded in 491 AD, remains remarkably strong despite over 1,500 years of vicissitudes. Its architectural craftsmanship is truly remarkable, ingeniously utilizing mechanical principles and the terrain's advantages. Using semi-intercalated flying beams as a foundation and supported by rock, the structure forms a sturdy and ingenious wooden frame. This design not only provides exceptional earthquake resistance but also seamlessly blends the temple with the surrounding natural rock and environment. The entire temple appears to be suspended from a cliff, and even contains Buddhist statues within caves. It's truly hard to imagine how the ancients mastered the use of wooden beams with such exquisite precision!

Hohhot, a frontier region for ethnic minorities, boasts simple folk customs and distinctive dining habits. Offering hada (a traditional khata) is a ritual used by Mongolian herders in welcoming guests and in daily interactions. During welcoming ceremonies, Mongolians hold hada (a traditional khata) in both hands and offer a toast to guests in a silver bowl. Even those who cannot drink still touch the silver bowl to their lips before returning the cup to the guest as a sign of respect. Minorities also practice animal husbandry, offering tea, toasting, and offering hada (a traditional khata). Please pay attention to your guide's explanations.

Hohhot is located in a high-latitude area with strong ultraviolet rays. Please bring sunscreen to prevent skin discomfort.

Grassland scenic spots in Hohhot rarely provide boiled water or tea. They mainly provide milk tea and other tea drinks. If you are not used to it, please bring your own soft drinks. Even the vegetables in the grassland scenic spots have the unique smell of "mutton".
