On the way, the team leader explained the activity arrangements and precautions. We stopped at a service area to take a short break and have lunch.

We arrive at the fairytale town of Xiaoruo Village, where our guide will lead a hike through the fishing village and up Qilin Mountain, which lies just behind it. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, the island was originally a monolithic landscape of stone houses. Since residents have painted their homes in a variety of vibrant hues, it's earned the nickname "Colorful Island." From a distance, each house boasts its own unique hue. Rows and rows of buildings, arranged in a staggered pattern along the mountainside, these vibrant, isolated structures have inadvertently become a viral attraction, a place ripe for the spotlight.
Note: During holidays, if there is traffic control, you may need to take a local shuttle bus to Xiaoruo Village, and walk 2 kilometers on the return trip.

Looking down at Xiaoruo Village, it feels quite like Rio de Janeiro, the scenery is amazing. At the top of the mountain, you can see the whole picture of Xiaoruo Village in front, and behind you can see the mountains and offshore windmills. Going up to the highest point, you can see the vast ocean and the magnificent landscape of the sea and sky. After arriving at Xiaoruo Village, everyone is free to do whatever they want. You can check in or sit down for a cup of coffee and enjoy the leisure time.

In the evening, you can form your own group and return to Qilin Mountain to watch the sunset and the afterglow. A colorful island floats on the shimmering sea, and twinkling lights shimmer in the water, creating an incredibly romantic scene. For dinner, you can freely explore the village's farmhouse restaurants and discover Shitang delicacies.

After lunch, take the bus to the hotel for rest
Day 2 Hotel → Xiaojiaochen Village → Shuitong'ao → Hangzhou

Wake up in the morning and have a delicious breakfast! 07:30 Pack your luggage and head to Shuitongao!
Please note: The Shuitong'ao hike has become increasingly popular in recent years. To prevent hours of traffic jams on the mountain during holidays, we'll be departing from your hotel at 7:30 AM on weekends. The departure time will be extended to 8:30 AM on weekdays. The hiking route may be adjusted based on Shitang traffic regulations.

Arriving at Xiaojiaochen Village, we began our hike, Taizhou's version of the "MacLehose Trail." Southern Zhejiang's golden coastline was originally an off-road track, and China-TravelNote has specially selected a section of it, crossing the internet-famous Shuitong'ao Beach and visiting hidden gems like Wukeng Village. The scenic scenery and easy-to-navigate mountain paths along the way make this a rare coastal hiking experience in Zhejiang. The sea is azure, the mountains are picturesque, and the sky is boundless. This outdoor hike combines the essence of photography and a rendezvous between mountain and sea! Here, you'll find beautiful mountain ridges and coastal scenery, smooth, soft, and clean beaches, and clusters of stone fishing villages lining the hillsides. This is the Songmen Greenway on the coastline. Shuitong'ao Beach is expansive, with a distant view of the "Mount Fuji" in the sea.
Note: 1. If you are physically unable to complete the entire trail, as there are multiple descent points along the way, please take a taxi to the finish line before the meeting time. 2. If you still encounter unavoidable traffic during holidays, for hiking safety reasons, the hiking distance will be shortened (by 5 kilometers) or adjusted to a small loop around Shuitong'ao. From June to September, due to hot weather, the Shuitong'ao small loop will be uniformly adjusted to 8km.
