Itinerary presentation

Today we will continue our tour in Izu, then head to Kamakura and arrive in Tokyo in the evening.

丨A Different Izu/ Summer at Mount Omuro and Kapipara

Mount Omuro was formed by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago, creating the unique landscape of the Izu Plateau. Its summit is conical, and within it lies a vast crater, forming a graceful curve resembling an inverted bowl. The mountain is lushly green, and visitors can ascend to the summit via a cable car. From the summit, they can enjoy breathtaking views of the Amagi Mountains, Mount Fuji, and the surrounding Izu Oshima Island. As a filming location for the movie "Your Name," the mountain is a popular destination for moviegoers.

At the foot of Mount Omuro is a park and zoo complex. In addition to cacti and other succulents, the park is home to 130 species of animals, including capybaras, kangaroos, peacocks, squirrel monkeys and sloths. The docile capybaras even have their own hot springs.

丨Pilgrimage to the Holy Land/Kamakura Coast and Enoshima Railway

Leaving Izu, we drove to Kamakura and experienced a ride on the Enoshima Electric Railway. Unlike regular trains, this route is limited to the circuitous Kamakura area. The buildings and houses on either side of the train are so close to the train that it almost feels like it's touching them. At the end of the train, we arrived at Enoshima Island, where we explored the Shonan coastline and the small shops of Enoshima. After our tour, we departed Kamakura and returned to Tokyo.
